KMob Presses Pause
Karis: Moberly will be pressing pause on all Missional Community activities and meetings. I did not want to delay writing that sentence because it is still a painful thing to type. The Karis: Moberly Missional Community has been alive and active for about nine months, and it has been a beautiful experience for all of us to be a part of. I am still struggling to find the words that will portray the right emotion, so I will just be completely transparent about where we have been and where we will be in the future. During our nine months in Moberly we have seen someone come to Christ, people form deep relationships with one another, and people felt a heavy burden to love and invest into the city for Jesus' name and fame. I was thinking and planning on moving to Moberly to help grow and develop leaders with the hopes of planting a church as a part of Karis Church. I am deeply convicted that my time in Moberly has drawn me to live and invest into the people of Moberly. One evening after the leaders met to talk about the future of Karis: Moberly I sat in Derek's driveway with my wife sobbing about how I want people to meet Jesus in Moberly. I felt the excitement, the burden, the privilege and the responsibility to proclaim Jesus to the people of Moberly. Unfortunately we will not be continuing our MC in Moberly due to the lack of resources available to us, but this does not mean that we are never coming back. We will be back. That is our future. Karis Church's vision for Moberly is not dead and gone. The vision is just delayed for God's timing and His blessing. Karis: Moberly will be back and active in the city of Moberly. I can promise that at some point that God will put everything in order for us to be back in Moberly, but I can not promise a date or a timeline. Only God knows when He will open the door to us again. We love Moberly, but God loves Moberly more. Unfortunately we will no longer be meeting in Moberly, but the Holy Spirit is still active in Moberly and Jesus is still King, Redeemer, and Savior. God is good. Trust in His goodness and His grace. Jacob Luis Gonzales
