hey I saw your post about going through your old fanart and having trouble finding some of it. I have saved fanart that you drew for me from the SWTOR days. I think it all showed up in the forums at one time or another but I have no idea how hard it is to find. Would you like me to send copies to you? Or I can post it on my blog and @ and tag you if that would be easiest.

nah it's ok. I was just looking down memory lane not actively trying to recover anything. But thank you!

It's funny. I don't usually look at old artwork because of embarrassment, but my instructor in my previous art classes over the past two years really helped me see my art differently and to be kinder to myself. So it's been cool to see the old stuff. Instead of seeing only my flaws, I also see what I was trying to do and what I managed to finish.

I do remember turning off notifications so I could never see how many notes my art had. So I know the anxiety was already there, but I really did post a lot more of my art that I finished than I do lately. Maybe I'll try to get back to that.

No judgement either way - Do you think you'll ever post SWTOR art again?

Weirdly I was just thinking that I should. Next month is my 10 year anniversary of drawing stuff and the first thing I ever drew was swtor fanart.

Not sure what I should draw though I'll have to think about it.

Thank you so much for the incredible tarot art of Noelle. I don't have adequate words, just know that I'm going to spend a while analyzing the SYMBOLISM/composition with some friends better acquainted with such things than I. Also, 'grats on finishing a project!

You’re welcome! I remember trying to come up with a composition for all the cards and even though I really liked them all and they were so interesting they were all SO FAR AWAY FROM THEIR FACES like. I love faces so when I saw the three of swords (which doesn’t even have a person in it) I knew I was drawing a waist up AT LEAST and I loved adapting her face from your screenshots. Thanks for giving me so many options in your suggestions!

I’m glad you liked it and I’m glad you started writing again. I kind of started writing again too then immediately got stuck, but I think finishing one thing might help me finish the next thing. 

This project was really hard. Everything about it was something I’m bad at (which I did intentionally). Color, composition, not giving up when I get stuck, hair… but that’s also what made it really interesting and I think I picked up a few new tools to conquer my next project. So thank YOU (all of you who loaned me your OCs) for letting me draw something for you <3.

Your Tarot OC cards are stunning!! They each have such character and depth to them. They are beautifully composd. Congrats on finishng the project!

I really struggle with composition as I don’t usually draw backgrounds. I want to try drawing comics again or at least art that tells a story and a portrait at ¾ isn’t gonna get it XD. It’s part of why I started this project and I do think it helped me get a bit more experience. Thanks for the comment it really made my day.
