Hi! Good luck with the blog! May I request some Kagami angst with his girlfriend? Thank you very much! :)
Thanks! Since i wasn’t sure what kind of angst you wanted I just picked something from a prompts blog :)
For the past few days, Kagami had felt like a trapped animal, caged within the painful hiss of dejection. From that pain in his chest, paranoia sprouted, wrapping around his brain like a parasite and leaking poisonous anxieties into his mind.
He wondered if your feelings were a farce, if you were just too polite to reject him. `You were his rock, yet now you never had any time for him, dates were always cancelled just like today’s, and he was forced down to the bottom of your priorities. He knew you were a busy person, yet he never saw you making any effort to see him. The balance between you was lopsided, the foundations cracking and crumbling underneath him. He wondered if he was just a burden as your boyfriend, if he was caging you as well. The feeling of deja vu in his stomach was repressive, as an inexpressible suspicion stopped him from speaking out.
His phone vibrated in his pocket, fishing it out he saw a call from you. He felt a wave of dread overcome him, as if he was just waiting for you to leave him and cut his chains loose. Moreover, his heart felt heavy with guilt, the beating muscle slowly hardening into stone. He ignored the call, continuing his walk home as he carried groceries.
He hoped you two wouldn’t ignore each other for much longer.
You sighed as another one of your calls didn’t get through. The other day, he told you again that he loved you. Heart hitching and lungs contracting, all you could respond with was a shaky smile as your breath was forced out of your mouth. Interpreting your lack of response as rejection, his face crumpled and he didn’t speak another word to you until he walked you home. Unable to summon words with the tension thick enough to choke you, you too remained silent. Your heart cracked with remorse, causing a painful burn in your chest and a bitter aftertaste in your mouth.
You put your phone away whilst your mother entered the room to inform you of your plans for the day, everything else was then forced to a backseat against your will.
This vicious cycle would be the death of you both, yet you were both too scared to let the other go.
