Headcanons so far for Numbuh 312 (KNDverse!Wolfboy Kim):
He was a KND operative before the game, probably an I.T. guy or something. Managed the network stuff for Sector S (Seattle) and the surrounding treehouses.
Decommissioned normally at age 13, grew up, found out about homestuck, yadda yadda.
Sburb happened, in an almost identical manner to SBARGv2 as far as his personal storyline went (Witch of Light, self-prototyped with Ammy, developed the Custom Brush Technique: [Brush Portal], etc). The session itself was fairly mundane, lacking Chronos and some of the other stuff though. Maybe a couple of the players were also former operatives, idk.
After the game, he decided to head off into the multiverse, same as mainverse!Wolfboy. But, the first universe he ended up in... was one that was temporally similar to his original one, but was Non-Sburb. Not quite the same way it happened in SBARGv2 with the Vanilla-Timeline Earth/Land of Parentheses and Roleplaying thing, but similar concept. (Could possibly be how SBARGv1 originally ended, with the Scratch resetting things to their vanilla parameters but also removing that entire universe from the session chain... until Chronos haxxed it in v2.)
In that “parallel timeline” universe, the native version of Kim is... unavailable, for one reason or another. As far as the KND is concerned, he’s dropped off the face of the galaxy. Cue the G:KND showing up to “planetary decom” everything. (If it wasn’t obvious, this is backstory for my Operation R.E.T.C.O.M. character, so that’s that side of things.)
Anyway, when the KND start searching for former operatives to Recommision, they can’t find the “original” Kim, but about the same time, Wolfboy shows up. He’s confused as heck, but decides to try and help out, so he follows “one of those weird-looking ships” to a base to find out what’s up.
Naturally, the KND don’t trust him at first, because come on, he’s 1) an adult, 2) clearly not fully human, and 3) has really weird powers and technology. But, a scientist decides to do a deep DNA scan of the Code Module for potential matches, and they find that Wolfboy is a 50% match for Numbuh 312.
Figuring it couldn’t hurt to try, they zap him with the Recommisioning Module. Kim’s memories of being an operative, despite not being from “this” iteration of the universe, are successfully restored. (Possible side idea: The recommisioning process has an odd side effect on his Ammysprite half, and he temporarily loses Brush abilities but is able to retain power specific to his claspect as a Witch of Light. I dunno, I’ll decide that later since Wolfboy has to be nerfed /somehow/ to fit with the KNDverse.)
After some back-and-forth of discussion, and the whole “side effects” thing of being Recommissioned, Numbuh 312 joins the fight to kick the G:KND’s butt by manipulating probability (his sburb role) in favor of Team Earth. Maybe also attempting to replicate captchalogue tech with 2x4 tech, but that might be taking it a bit far, especially since this iteration of the KNDverse is explicitly Sburb-Free. (It has no effect on /his/ usage of sylladexes and strife specibi, but might make it so only former players can use it.)
Eh, it’s still got a lot of things to work out, especially making sure he’s not too OP compared to the “native” operatives, but it’s an idea anyway.
