Kick Out Step Through
was knee hooping for the first time earlierr, havent learned anything new recently so i was pretty exciteddd (~•o•)~
Hey Hannah, I'm a Hannah too, and as of 2 weeks (ish) ago, I'm now a hooper! I have a quick question. I learned how to hoop around my knees, and in my excitement didn't realize that I was hooping too hard and actually gave myself bruises on the back of my knees and now it hurts to knee hoop. I read somewhere it is unwise to hoop on a bruise so I have avoided knee hooping for now. Any advice on this situation? Thank you so much and I LOVE your blog :)
Hi Hannah! :)
Woot knee hooping, go you! Yeah, just take some warm baths and maybe arnica or painkilling cream/gel to draw out + ease the bruises, then just rest that part and focus on some other body part for a while.
Tips for knee hooping:
For a really quick + easy way to get into basic knee hooping, keep both knees together and bounce on them slightly (like a little micro squat) - its really pigeon toed feeling and won't be any use to get the hoop moving back up your body again, its what I think of as a dead-end, but its the easiest, absolute basic knee hooping motion.
The better way is to lock one leg straight and do the 'stirring' with the other leg. This can be either leg, and in either direction, so you'll be using your leg (just above your kneecap) to pull the hoop either forwards + in towards the still leg, or outwards + round to the back. Try alternating legs and walking + knee hooping.
