New Knife Blanks Ordered!
I have three carbon steel knife blanks coming in the mail. These will be finished when I get back from Burning Man on the 6th or 7th. I believe I already have one buyer lined up, so one knife is accounted for, but since these knives go fast, I want to let others know in advance so they can be ready to pounce.
If you are interested in a knife, but I'm sold out by the time you're ready to buy, I will be happy to take custom orders starting in the middle of September.
Custom orders will require a down payment for materials and should take about two weeks to complete; the rest of the payment will be accepted when the finished product is listed privately in your name.
Prices will range between $45.00 to $70.00 depending on handle material.
I can use the following recycled wildlife materials for handles:
Coyote legbone (Unlimited quantity; $45.00),
Bobcat legbone (Limited - Can produce 4 knives; $45.00),
Domestic cat (Limited - Can only produce 2 knives; $45.00),
Roe Deer Hoof (Very limited - Can only produce 1 knife; $70.00),
Lynx legbone (Limited - Can produce 4 knives; $50.00).
These materials are acceptable handles for the small carbon steel blades like the one pictured above. If you want different legbone handles from wildlife like deer, wolf, etc., I will need to supply a bigger blade. Cost will be more for larger blades, as they require more work. All of these carbon steel knives are excellent for skinning, carving, camping uses, and make excellent travel companions for those who spend time in the woods and need a trusty working blade. They're small enough to remain handy, and will hold an edge sharp enough to tackle almost any job. The steel is durable, and while it's not corrosion-proof, it will last a lifetime if properly cared-for. These are meant to be an investment worth their while for people who require a solid blade. Cheaper stainless steel knives are available if you'd like a knife more for show purposes than actual use.
