Brooo. Another one of my interchangeable needle wires broke 😭😭 It literally came out while I was knitting and I'm so happy that I was using a lifeline at the time so it didn't ruin my work.

Tried to wet block my cardigan by soaking it in the washing machine and doing a low spin cycle and it unraveled 😭😭
In 15 years of knitting I have never washed a knitted garment wrong and felted it... Untill today 😩... I've not even been able to wear it *once*. I knit it pretty much entirely in 2019 and it remained with just a steek edge unfinished untill 2 weeks ago.
Before/how I left it in 2019
Now, after washing
Might just cut it up and use the fabric to make a project bag or whatever.
Note to self. Dont wait nearly two years to finish the second fingerless mitten.... Somehow they seem to be different gauges. No idea what needles I'd used on the first. I normally take pattern notes on ravelry. I didnt. Rather dumb really. But hey they're pretty, they match ok enough. They are simple autumn mittens found on ravelry, I just didn't close the top. Yarn is handspun merino silk from hobble d hoy, color way chipmunk.
I started a baby blanket with a nice pattern.
Had it open on my computer for a couple of weeks.
Computer crashed.
Can't find the pattern in my browser history because it looks like A Beautiful Mind of knitting patterns.
Fuckkkk.
Trying to write a "simple" baby blanket pattern.
My father always wondered why I never followed in his footsteps and became a computer programer.
Because, apparently, k3, p6, k3 equals 9 sts total.
Good job, self, good job.
what would MacGyver do...
Tried knitting again last night, again knit fail! at casting on the stitches. Now I'm seriously thinking about cheating...I just have to figure out if it'll actually work
Those damn two needles won't get the better of me
For some reason, I felt the need of wanting to learn how to knit. I already know how to crochet, so how hard can it be, right?
Famous last words ;)
First reaction: OMG there's two needles instead of one, now what do I do with the other one?
Second reaction: I have a book, it says „Knitting for Dummies“, so I'm good. Nothing bad can happen.
Third step: Knit Fail! at casting on the stitches!!!!
