Apparently, this cosplay turns 11 in 2026. I believe I made it to wear to my first ECCC with @infiniteeight8.
I structured that boob window with the precision of fucking rocket ship. The trick to a proper Power Girl titty window is that you must always be within a half-inch of a nip slip. I know for sure it was closer than that.
At this point, I was also dealing with tinea versicolor, which I called "the blotchies." I'd had them basically since my first period. It's just a bloom of the natural fungus in your skin. It's not contagious. It CAN be a sign you have endometriosis because the bloom happens because your system is overworked by the endo, so you can get a bloom. After my hysto, the tinea versicolor disappeared and has never returned; even as my MCAS has flared more often.
The point is: tinea versicolor is about the same color as nipples, and at the time I had very large nipples (the smallering took care of that), so when I was making the titty window, I was always making sure what spots you could see where the tv, not my nips.
Cue ECCC. I believe I wore Power Girl on Saturday because, come on. Of course I did. Two hilarious things happened:
Dudes zeroed in on my titties (understandable), then realized who I was dressed as and looked away QUICKLY. Because Kara Zor-el will put you through a table to teach you manners, and I have never seen a Power Girl cosplayer who does not have that energy.
Coming back after lunch, Fin and I hit a very common wave of 'people leaving for a later lunch vs people returning from our earlier lunch' and when this happens, you can sometimes see who is about to nearly run into you. There's nothing to do but prepare for it because it's a space issue. It tends to happen at the top and bottom of the escalators, and that's where we were. The person who nearly ran me down was a tiny lady in her 60s who was tit-high, and she came up short, sputtered, glared at me, and snapped, "I CAN SEE YOUR NIPPLES."
To which I replied, "No, you can't! I made sure!"
To be fair, I may have just thought that part. It's been a decade. The memory is blurry. I remember laughing afterwards because, ma'am, I was not the only tits-out cosplayer on the floor on SATURDAY. In fact, I was downright fucking demure next to cosplayers who designed (and looked amazing) in their own pasties.
Anyway, my tits got noticeably larger than this, which I would not have guessed at the time, but I think the strapless bra I was wearing was a 32E, and I was a 32GG or 32I when I got smallered. I believe it was this strapless style from Panache, FYI. I literally helped someone move while wearing it. It's amazing.
