“one” project. sure. If “knitting” is considered one project. forget the sub projects of knitting like my baby blanket, ribbed scarf, and garter stitch scarf....
tried showing her my wip (stockholm slipover by petite knit) and she accidently licked her bow
send help please im only halfway done ONE sleeve.
je suis. the 👑QUEEN👑 of making gauge swatches. (and then promptly ignoring them bcus i dont! care).
I LOVE seeing boys and men doing the knit and cross stitch thing!! I was SO happy when I went to one knit club meeting at the library and a boy about...oh...10...came in to knit and learn! My niece is a freshman in high school and one of her friends knits...like...way better than I can! Knitting is for EVERYONE and booooo to toxic masculinity that will make fun of you if you are anything other than a female/girl/woman/old ladies who are knitting...
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, everyone who happens to celebrate!! Or happy holidays if you celebrate something different. Happy belated solstice, yuletide, Hanukkah, etc... Who here is still rushing around last minute trying to get their Christmas craft gifts DONE! how many of you may not finish!!! HOW MANY OF YOU ARE SO TIRED BUT STILL HAVE SHIT TO FINISH?!
Yeah, Yeah...I should have started these projects in october. I should have been doing at least 2-3 rows a DAY since I first started this blanket in June. I AM BAD AT TIME MANAGEMENT! I BLAME THE ADHD! and anxiety, and depression, and the toddler...
well, to be fair, one gift has ONE more row to finish before I can bind it off...however, I plan on gifting it pre-bind...the blanket is a bit...short....34 inches wide...but only 20 inches long...and for a baby blanket...it might be ok...or I can make it longer and knit his name into a rectangular block of stockinette...i’ve already made a visual pattern for it.....I’ll make it parents choice “I can have this finished in 20 minutes, or you can get it some time next month and I can mail it to you!”
the other scarves i need to finish don’t have to be done until Jan 5th...but even then, i can always show them the W.I.P’s and tell them “another 2 weeks and then you can have them!”
ugh.
i just want to go to sleep...but even after finishing wrapping gifts, and making lasanga filling for tomorrow...i still have to take a shower. uuuugh. so sleepy.
My parents, and hubby’s parents were supposed to get their scarves in jan of 2017 as a “congrats, new grandparents!”. I finished my parent’s scarves a few months ago, and i’ll be finishing up my in-law’s scarves this month. whoops
