yarn: biches et bûches le petit lambswool (off white) ; le petit silk & mohair (blue grey)

project notes: the steeking part was very fun and i did not find it that stressful. the silhouette is very kr/jp designer oversized boxy style so next time i reknit i will likely just finesse a smaller size. i would also duplicate stitch the contrast stitches in the body and sleeves to prevent floats from showing as much.

Knitting the ‘fancy’ (DBDA) Jumper

I love the jumper that Edwin wears in DBDA when he plans to confess, I thought I’d try recreate it!

The main feature is the shawl collar. The one in the pattern I’m following will be too big, so I will mind how large the collar is getting! Also in the pattern I believe it is ribbed, which I will be ignoring.

I’m trying to keep to pattern which means knitting flat even though it would be soo easy to do in the round.

The yarn is so nice! It’s a British wool blend (bought with a work voucher, I do NOT have Rowan money). My yarn may be more green than the inspo but that’s fine.

If anyone has made a shawl collar like this before I’d be interest to hear your experience with it.

UPDATE! Panels are complete! blocking now before i seam and start the sleeves. i did lowkey ignore the pattern but oh well. also dante says hi!

my favorite coworker told me the scenario she thinks of to fall asleep is she stumbles upon a baby sheep and has to raise it and it grows up and she has to shear it and she says she envisions shearing it so carefully that she always falls asleep at that part
