The Easy Way to Shorten Sweater Sleeves that are too Long
*knitting part of my Halloween costume*
Mentally: “we’re going to win the costume contest this year, we’re going to win the costume contest this year, we’re going to win the costume contest this year…”
One of my friends is in a serious situation so I asked ria guardian angel to help me bless this shawl with protection magic. Normally I just work the energy in as I go but this time I actually did a prayer/spell (it was a bit of both as ri and I worship different gods and I wasn't quit sure what the right action would be) on the yarn and needles and WIP.
However despite using an outside source of energy for the blessing, I have a terrible migraine after it so this is as far as I got today before I said "I am making too many stupid mistakes, I need to stop."
so 1) this is a great idea, and 2) there’s a lot of VERY good ways for you to personalize these for spell work! You can play with color (as long as they’re wool) and then you literally STAB the piece to completion, so like. VERY good way to get your intent in there.
Any advice? (knitting witchcraft)
I started knitting during quarantine. And I’ve been really enjoying it. I have a lot of general anxiety so knitting has really helped with that, the visualization putting all of my anxiety and worry thoughts into the knitting and out of my brain has really helped!
Thus far I’ve only made shitty scarves, very lopsided and not very pretty. But I decided to make two scarves for my best friends for Christmas. It seemed very do-able and especially with the election I’ve been anxious knitting like crazy so I’ve nearly finished the thicker scarf.
But this leaves me with a question:
Since I’ve been low key practicing witchcraft and working with intent. I worry that me putting my anxiety into these project will reflect on my friends.
I’ve read up on knitting witchcraft and it seems that you’re supposed to knit each knot with intent and if my accidental intent was anxiety could I then make my friends anxious by wearing their new scarves?
I was already going to cleanse them before mailing them out but my worry is that the anxiety is too tightly woven into the scarves to be removed...
Any thoughts?
I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS BLANKET FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS (started November 2018)
And I can HAPPILY and officially say that it’s complete as of today (August 23 2020)
It’s infused with color magic and my own intentions and I’m just so happy with how it’s turned out
Found an old knitting project at the back of my closet while I was tidying!!! Forget the canevas, this is my next objective: finishing this shawl for my sister while watching The Witches of Eastwick.
I finished embroidering the birds, I'll show them here as soon I find good lighting!
