Up on the Champs-Elysees is a world-famed Viennese-
London tailor, Knize, who has recently opened in Paris,
in striking salons decorated by Adolph [sic] Loos of Vienna.
Salons, every inch modern. At one end of the large
room is a huge fireplace flanked by two great armchairs
that take all the discomfort out of selecting one's ward-
robe. Knize prides himself on being the most expensive
tailor in Paris, but even such a threat means little to
you who are accustomed to New York prices. His cra-
vats, dressing-gowns, scarves, slippers are choice. They
would make perfect gifts, no more expensive than the
same high-class merchandise elsewhere. It is worth buy-
ing a scarf at Knize 's for the pleasure of seeing the in-
terior. The house has amusing accessories too, such as
tam-o'-shanters in Scotch plaids, and a special toilet
water for men, with an effective modern label.
