“Shiny hair. And the way they smell.”
“Well I shall refrain from jokes about my eye level and just say, the first thing I truly appreciate is their eyes. Are they intelligent? Clear? Calm? Angry? Wild? Sleepy? Are they interesting?”
“Whether they are in the midst of a commission of a crime? Okay all kidding aside, how they are dressed?”
Would you consider yourself "romantic"? for all
“What is the point of life without a little romance?”
“I think so. I’ll let you know when I have the chance, to, you know, find out.”
Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? for all
“Well to be fair, I’ve never really been in one of those at all. A relationship I mean. Not ... not an abusive one, which sounds bad and I don’t want that.”
“For the most part, I have been quite fortunate. When my wife and I split after a few centuries, we did so without acrimony and remain friends. I even like her new husband. Lovely fellow. Treats her well. A few when I was young were less healthy perhaps but we all do foolish things before we hit our century mark.”
“I’m sure I wouldn’t know.”

“No. That’s never been a problem.”
“Friendzone is a nonsense word made up by men who have never really been friends with a woman. It depresses me that such an antiquated idea continues to thrive, even today.”
“I don’t know what that is. What’s a friendzone?”
If you could go back in time and give yourself one piece of advice what would it be? (for all)
“Do not lick it. Don’t. It was a very bad choice and you’ll be sick for weeks.”
“Tell your children you love them more often. It is never too much. Even more importantly, show them you love them every day.”
“The internet will end up being your favourite hunting ground. Get on it earlier and stop being so stodgy about it.”
James: Have you ever role played with your partner?
“I am nearly 1000 years old. You will find there is very little I haven’t sampled a few times. So yes, of course. Many times. I even have favourite scenarios and a few costumes.”
James: What is your most non-traditional sexual desire?
“Well someone’s mind is quite in the gutter tonight, now isn’t it? Let’s see. I suppose the majority of my inclinations are quite ordinary except ... perhaps, that I enjoy being read to while teasing my partner, especially when they are aware there is a consequence for every falter, every stumble so they must concentrate very hard while I do all that I can to break that concentration. I find this is the only way to make most Dickens novels tolerable.”
James: What body parts do you check out on others first?
“I suppose .... everything on my eye-level.”
