“Exactly. You could even make it with special paint that allows you to draw on it with special kinds of pens, and just wipe it off. Gives you the chance to have unique designs regularly.” Se told him, smiling to this guy she barely knew. Yet she was helping him figure out how to make his house, and he was helping her get stuff home. “That would be very cool. You could even build the bookshelves to look like trees on it. That would be really cool.”

“That would be nice. I like that.” Gabriel was taken with the picture she was painting. He picked up the darker colour and then paired it with the lighter. “Do you want to come with me to lumber section? Or should we meet later?” he asked politely, looking over the petite woman as he handed the service clerk the colour chips for mixing the paint.

Was it that hard to understand what she was saying? Victor understood her just fine when she spoke. Hmm… Maybe it was just that Victor was used to her. But the blonde man continued to speak, and she looked down to her own body. He minded the lack of clothes. “Do you want me to have dinner with you? If you want it I don’t mind wearing a shirt. I didn’t bring any though.”

“Umm... yeah ... that ... that would be nice.” Gabriel replied with a slow smile. “Oh ... you could wear something of mine. Just go into the bedroom and pick out anything that covers all your bits.” He was compulsively cleaning the counters now, trying hard not to look at the stunning redhead.

“My favorite colors are red and yellow, actually,” she confessed with a small giggle. But none of the options available had her interest yet. It was time for something different. After all, she wanted a very colorful home. So it might just be a nice blue – or something else. Glancing over at the options he showed her, shaking her head. “I don’t think green is too dark, there are light greens. Like this one, quite a pastel.” She pointed at it with her finger and then went a shade further down, then another. “This is pretty. I would love seeing a house with that color. Also means if I pass it by coincidence I will know right away who lives in it.” Another little laugh.

“Red and yellow? That seems ... bright for a shelf but if you like it.” Gabriel replied, enjoying the way she smiled so brightly at him. He wondered if she would notice if he sniffed her, just a little. He could be subtle. Well he could try anyway. He followed her gaze to the lighter greens. Then he laughed, “It would be noticeable. That is for certain.”

“It is still very sweet of you, and I’d like to return the favor, however I can.” Besides, even if he chose a naughty way.. .Why not? He was an attractive man, and it could be interesting to see him like that too. “Hmm… I think you should go for white then, but with maybe green contrast walls. So all but one wall per room is white, and one is green. It makes it rather contrasting. What do you think?”

“Oh .... i think I heard of that. Like an accent wall?” Gabriel replied seriously. “Ohh maybe the wall that will have the bookshelves. That would look very fine with all the books, don’t you think?” He was aiming for confidence but the question came across very uncertain. He picked out a few shades of green that he liked and laid them against the range of whites offered.

The business was booming these days. Well, the official one. Which kept her away from what was going on behind the scenes, and she had to ask Alaric to step in. Wouldn’t harm him to do something every now and then anyway. But this Gala was booming and it looked just like everyone would go there. Minerva was there to tend to all needs and wishes, the assistance of employee’s granted. And yet, she needed to tend to customers as well. Catching glimpse of a man who seemed somewhat lost with his shirt — clearly the wrong size, she could easily tell already. Minerva approached him with a smile on her face. “Hello, can I help you?” It was always safer to ask before she would overwhelm people. “I think I might just have the perfect outfit for you.” She told him, her gaze connecting with his bright blue eyes.

“Really?” Gabriel looked up, relief plain on his face. He felt quite overwhelmed by this story and all the fancy things. “Do .. do you work here?” She seemed quite fancy so it was possible. She also smelled very good. What was that? Her or some scent she was wearing? He was curious and wished he was bold enough to ask. “I would appreciate the help very much.”

“Not compared to many others here, but he was alive during some wars, and he lived out among the humans then. So it was hard to get chocolate, since they had strict rations.” She explained to the male, smiling at him. It was sweet that he liked apples so much though. They were good, so she could understand why. “Because people touch them a lot. They like to touch them because they are so soft, but my wings are very sensitive.”

“Really? That is quite amazing. I would like to meet him sometime. I am sure his stories are quite wonderful.” Gabriel replied with genuine enthusiasm. As she spoke of them, he gaze drifted over the fluffy pink wings. “Sensitive? Like it hurts? I didn’t hurt you when you bumped into me, did I?”

“Yeah, no.” a shrug of her shoulders, though there was a smile on her lips “I offered, plus, I already chose my outfit and browsing won’t really help much now.” so why couldn’t she help the bear? “You probably have the wrong size.” Hana looked at the tag before searching for the rack where the others had been placed. Finally finding it, getting the next size was an easy task “Try this one?”

“That’s very nice of you then. I accept your help.” He replied graciously as he returned the shirt to its hanger. Accepting the one she offered, he shrugged into it easily and started to button it. “Do you ... umm ... do you think it looks all right?” he asked quietly, clearly uncertain about trying on these rather fancy clothes.

Gabriel x Lilith | Garden Daze

She ducked her head down to her lap trying to not get hit by the flying chucken. Well she hadn’t meant to scare him like that! But really, it was his own fault for not having paid attention when she opened the door, how was she supposed to be loud and draging his attention to her while simply a kitty cat? No, really she had done it the only way she could. He seemed to slowly realize what she had said though, and she kept those bright eyes of hers looking up at him as he started to gather his thoughts, even if he wasn’t looking at her. “Will you cuddle me if I change form again? Because I was hoping for a scratching under my chin. You look like you give nice pettings.”

“Umm ... what?” Gabriel was flustered and a little embarrassed. She was the cat. He should have known. He cleaned the chicken and put it into the oven, all while carefully not looking at the pretty female. “Oh ... I guess so. You’re very nice as a human though. If you put on some clothes, you could have dinner with me?” he offered quietly.

“Yeah… Again. Its starting to be rather.. Terrifying.” She said with a sigh. She didnt like these letters, but she did hope he was just some fanboy in love with her, and who soon enough would leave her alone. He couldn’t possibly have the patience to keep on following her like that. Maybe he’d leave her alone if she did start hanging out with the guy who had invited her to the Gala? Maybe that would help?

“I already have two PO boxes, one for my personal mail and one for my business mail. Am I meant to have three at once? Isn’t that a bit much? Or maybe I should just close the ability for people to send me gifts?”

“Yes well ... I can see that.” Even Sullivan, the sociopath that he was, recognized these letters as a terrifying indication of intent. And damn but they were descriptive. This one about consuming her fingertips was gross, even to him. Just a fraction too vivid.

“You need better security. We’ll station a cruiser outside your door. And if possible, see if a friend can come to stay with you. Big and male would be optimal if going human but a notoriously strong or fierce supernatural of any gender would be your best choice.” He assured quietly as he paged through another sheaf of correspondence. 

Lifting one page, he sniffed it. “Is that blood? By all the gods, that’s new. Well maybe that will give us some DNA but that may not help if he isn’t in the system.” Sullivan replied thoughtfully before sliding that particular letter into a sealable envelope.

“Then you will have a third. I will check this one. Move everything else to that other one.” He instructed firmly. “Time to put a hold on that I think. For your own safety.”

At the Station || Open

“I do… I only punch a few of the assholes who deserves it. there’s many more who deserves it… I mostly just tell Neriah about those. Or Autumn, but Autumn just bans them.” She said, crossing her arms over her chest, leaning forward so she could face him. “Like what, Sullivan? Words? Misogynists don’t tend to listen to those from girls like me. So what do you suggest?”

“Honestly, how do the others manage it? Because let’s face it, every damn woman experiences the misogynistic assholes and yet, not every damn woman is sitting in that chair on the daily. You are here too often. So rather than feed the trolls, figure out another way to handle it.”

Even as much as she had tried to fight the need to slee, it was impossible to not fall into the soft slumber. She needed to just… Gather some energy. Some fight… She just… 

A while later, with an ache in her neck from how she’d laid, Sierra started to wake back up again. It didn’t smell like home though. Had she gotten drunk without remembering, and decided to sleep over at someone else’s place? It had to be a little something like that. A low groan breaking out as she tried to stretch out, just to hit the metal bars of a cage. A cage? Opening her eyes, Sierra saw her foot pressed against the metal, and her own body on a mattress, inside of a cage. A cage. What the hell? With a hurried scramble, she tried to get as far away as she could, just pressing herself further into the corner of the cage, kicking into the water dish in the process, knocking it over and sending the water out. No. No. What the hell was this? Who the hell had done this? It had to be that freak of a police officer she’d run into before. But how? How had he knocked her out? She’d remember it if someone chloroformed her, wouldn’t she? 

It was the clatter of the water dish that caught his attention. Stepping out of the kitchen, Sullivan smiled at the sight of the pretty girl in her underwear with wide frightened eyes. “It’s all fine .... shhh ... just a bad dream.” He crooned softly as he approached. His power only really worked if he was touching someone unless he really extended himself, something he rarely did outside of work emergencies. Sierra was just a dumb little human girl who was in for a rough next few days and then would be a choppy, blurry memory, easily confused with a weird dream. Aside from the bruises of course. Those just couldn’t be helped. 

Crouching next to the cage, he looked down at the spill of the water. “Bad girl Sierra. You should know better than to make a mess like that.” He scolded as he sat up the small dish and then used a hand towel to mop up the water. “Now before you start screaming or making a fuss, you are quite literally in the middle of nowhere, your car is not here, you would need a passcode to get out any door or window and you ... young lady, are my little fuck toy for the next few days.”

“I’m sure that is not the case – but you could let me be the judge of that.” She replied, perking up at the little change of note to his voice. “Oh?” A small laugh, she leaned in towards him. “Do tell me, what talents are we talking about now, Dean James?”

“It is all true. Despite years of effort on my part, I have learned that some things simply require true talent. My sketches lack the heart that I see in others’ work. The passion in the lines. It is the difference between a duplication and a master. The conveyance of emotion.” James patted the lovely book. “There were many fine artists in this family line. Such a pity they are all gone.” 

He looked up as she leaned toward him, laughing softly at her coy reply, “I meant as an artist and an educator ... as well as a friend.” he assured, with a little smirk. Every now and then she seemed to convey a slightly flirty air and, no matter how many centuries past, the male in James just couldn’t resist the little rush of pleasure that came when a beautiful woman flirted. Not that there was anything more than friendliness to it, on either of their parts he suspected, but he adored her, just a little more, for those tiny flirtations that stroked an old fae’s ego. 

“Although if you ever wished to discuss other talents ... just so you know ... I dreadfully talented at ...” He leaned a little further and whispered “baking.” he finished with a wink.

His words had her eyes roll. In all honesty, she couldn’t tell him what really happened or he would keep her in longer, eventually drag her to court and those things were never fancy. “Then, if he told you all — you already know.” Oh, she knew those tricks all too well. It was not the first cop and not the last she would encounter. “He harassed me, tried to rob me — that good enough for you? If not, well then fuck it. What’s the bail?”

Damn it. Manya was way too proficient and really, he had no grounds to hold her. Frustrating but true. “All right all right ... I’m not prepared to drag this out again. This time ... and this is the last one Manya ... I will let you go without charge. But you need to watch your temper. Damaged little idiots can cause big problems if you aren’t careful. Childish men do not take well to being humiliated.” he cautioned seriously. Despite himself, he almost like Manya. As much as he liked anyone.

Gala - Sierra & Sullivan

The fact that he even said she could go was confusing to Sierra. He liked to keep her in the cage, to keep her fully at his control, and not to have her talking and smiling with everyone else it appeared. He just… He confused her. But she was allowed to go, and she’d found a dress she liked. It was nearly like water, with the white at the bottom and the blue at the top.  Just like a wave. The skin that had been bruised just the day before was back to its normal. She didn’t really know how to act tonight though, with both him there, and everyone else expecting more of a party and fun girl, while he expected a good submissive. So instead of acting out, she kept mostly to his side, studying how it was around themselves. “Would you like a drink, sir? They should have something that is without glitter too.”

Was this night a test? Yes. He could honestly say that. But it was for him as well. To see if he could do this, have a sort of publicly acknowledged relationship. He nearly choked on the work. Sullivan preferred Sierra nude and collared during their time together, preferably healing from three different marks he left on that glorious skin. Not that she was trapped, oh no.  

He let her out nearly every day. To work. To shop. To do her things that seemed to please her so, even if he didn’t understand them. And then she came home. Always to him. This was the part that perplexed him, her ready acceptance of her role in his life. She called herself his submissive but it was far closer to his slave, given the very slender selection of freedoms her permitted. 

His gaze slid to her as she spoke. He wasn’t at all sure how he felt about this dress she was wearing. It was breathtakingly beautiful on her, showing her body to advantage and making her wide eyes sparkle, as well as the jewels that dangled from her ears. Gifts he did not acknowledge but did, in fact, leave out for her. He loathed his possessive feelings about her, having never experienced them with another. Irksome to say the least.

“A scotch if you can get it. I’ll also accept a nice Pinot if they have something decent pouring.” He affirmed with a nod, “Thank you.” He continued with a shred of appreciation.

Unexpected | Sullivan x Sierra

Sierra was anything but pleased as she stood before his house. Her hands on her hips, and her breathing slow and deep as she tried to contain her temper. He was a dead man. He was going to pay for everything he had put her through. If her memories were right. If what she thought had happened was real… He was going to pay her back. And he was going to explain it all to her.

“You.” She stated simply, refusing to let her temper run off, refusing to seem like some emotional little girl who needed a spanking. “What the hell did you do to me?” She asked, not bothering to wait until they were somewhere private. Private… Now that’d be dangerous. “I have memories… I can feel things. But… I can’t tell whether I just had dangerously vivid dreams that left me feeling beaten up, or if you really did beat me blue and yellow after threatening with arresting me for false charges.”

Oh it was tempting. To tell her. He never got to talk about his fun little games. But the risks were too high. This girl worked as some online personality. She probably had a camera taped to her bra and a mic propped up to catch every word. Sullivan had gotten away with his games for years and damned if he wasn’t about to get caught by an airhead with a pretend job, no matter how delicious she looked when she came or cried or, ideally, both.

“I surely have no idea as to what you may be referring.” Sullivan replied, his voice calm, almost sympathetic, and his expression giving little away as he considered the brunette. “While I will admit you were stopped and unfortunately a touch under the influence. Since you had harmed nothing, I had your car brought home and then left you at your door step, on your assurances you would not drive. I must protect the public good after all.” He shrugged lightly, almost bemused, the epitome of a nice small-town Chief of Police. All he was missing was the aw-shucks ma’am but he never could carry that off. 

“I’m afraid whatever you had taken has given you some very vivid nightmares. Tsk tsk ... you really should be more careful.” Lifting the bags of groceries, he headed toward the door. “Now if you will excuse me, I don’t want my ice cream to melt or the milk to turn.” He dismissed with a nod before reaching for his key to open the door.

What do you notice first about another person? (for all)

“Shiny hair. And the way they smell.”

“Well I shall refrain from jokes about my eye level and just say, the first thing I truly appreciate is their eyes. Are they intelligent? Clear? Calm? Angry? Wild? Sleepy? Are they interesting?”

“Whether they are in the midst of a commission of a crime? Okay all kidding aside, how they are dressed?”

Gabriel x Lilith | Garden Daze

AND HE CLOSED THE DOOR ON HER?! Lilith let a loud meow come, almost like a whining sound as she wondered what she had done wrong. Why was he shutting her out? Did he not want to pet her? She was tempted to just push open the door and- Well, it didn’t stop at just tempted. After sitting outside for a few minutes, meowing sadly, she came into the room before, turning into her human form. Sitting on the floor, she looked up at him, red hair flowing down around her head. “While I do like the milk, I was wondering where the pets would come.” the young female said, crossing her arms. “Did you not want to pet me?”

Gabriel was a relatively young bear but he could have sworn his heart stopped when he heard her speak. He spun around and the chicken went flying, skittering across the floor before hitting the opposite wall with a thunk. “By all the old spirits...” he gasped out. “What ... what?” he looked at her startled. His mother had always informed him that looking at naked young women was just bad manners. Always seemed like a bit of an unfair double standard given that his brother, who was inclined to other males, didn’t have similar rules. Still, after many years, some things were just ingrained. So he looked away quickly and mumbled, “Ummm... Well I can pet you after I put the food on, if you like. If you know ... put your fur on again.” Stepping carefully around her, he picked up the chicken and placed it in the sink to be cleaned again before cleaning up the mess his surprise had caused.
