Yep it has been a minute I have not uploaded anything but here we go!
I wonder why kids always assume that as parents we owe them something. I love my kids but I remember my mother telling me to appreciate whatever you get because it is a blessing to just have the basics. So when you have the extras don’t expect that this is normal. With so many people losing their ability to provide for their families I think part of this world still doesn’t understand what it means to struggle. So my wife and I had to take a look at how we functioned in life although we donate and give you can never give enough. As people we have to care more for others than ourselves and I’ve seen some of this in the peaceful protest, and people going out of their way to help someone who is sick or dying but not nearly enough to equate to the amount of hurt, anger and fear in the world.
I didn’t grow up in the sixties but I grew up with a healthy respect for education. When children went to school they went to learn. Schools educated young minds to propel them to success. Now school is tagged more as a daycare by some parents than an educational system. People sometimes fail to see the contributions educators make even now giving many hours outside of contracted time. Constantly pushing for success even during a pandemic. So if nothing else be respectful, thoughtful and ask for the best for your child and give the best of yourself! Please remember that most school teams always want the best for your student. So when you find yourself frustrated and upset at the situation just remember many schools have 100’s of those frustrating mind numbing situations everyday. Although they cannot guarantee everything to be smooth and things to work perfectly all the time nothing ever does! In life there are no guarantees! Everyday is a new day!
