I have a New Thing to bring up to my Horrible Doctor (not to be mistaken for Doctor Horrible) because my Body Mechanic (RMT) has twice now heavily implied I might have some flavour of Hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos.
While I'm waiting to get that ticked off the Chronic Illness grocery list, those of you who know you have hEDs, could you drop your hot tips in the notes?
I need to know what I don't know without the anxiety spiral of googling shit.
Questions I have:
I use a dry herb vape for weed and mint, should I just stop with thc all together because of the strain it puts on the heart? I'm a daily user to help manage symptoms so if I really should stop then please let me know and I'll work towards doing so...somehow.
I'm self employed as a textile worker, my job is making Fluff into Stuff. This means I spin yarn to make with or for sale; a lot of repetative movements in knitting/crochet and weaving. What is best practice to mitigate issues compounding (yes take breaks and don't overwork but beyond that into specific things to isolate the right muscles for strengthening etc)?
I have a bum knee/foot combo on my left side and a bad hip on the right (gotta be balanced 🙃) and they are my worst enemies as I can neither stand nor sit for too long. Please advise.
Tell me the little things you do to be kind to yourself on a daily basis, this shit is tough and any efficiencies I can take to make life less sucky would be wonderful
