I'm too lazy to search and read the canon materials (also slow internet) so I need to ask if in Demon Slayer, how does age work for the demons. I'm aware that they stop growing at the age that they turned into, and many retain their personalities and mentality of their original age, but given some cases, do they actually capable of becoming more 'mature' in a sense?

For example, let's take Daki and Tamayo's cases. I believe Daki's childish personality and behavior is because she IS a child from the moment she was turned into a demon, and that Gyutaro spoils her a lot so she can express whatever she desires without consequences. Then again, she does learn some more stuff as a demon even though it's within the red light district circle. (Writing this and thinking of how really tragic her and Gyutaro's life is :((( ) For Tamayo's case, I believe she was turned when she was 19 years old? Living as a demon for hundreds of years also shapes her to what we can see of her in the series.

I don't know how to make sense of this, there's just this question in my mind that I can't word out properly and the closest thing it resembles is "do demons capable of 'growing up' ", of course not in age or mental but hrnghhhhhhhhhhh hmmmmmmmm ahh hmmmmmmm

Ok hilarious scenario: Tamayo has lived for 500+ years old even though she was turned into a demon when she was 19 years old, and she wants to get a license for something but it requires the person to have experience prior and be 25+ of age. She has the experiences, but does she still get to have the licence?

Edit: WAIT WAIT I GOT THE QUESTION: Do demons psychologically and emotionally develop over time?

Losing my mind at kny season 4 episode 2 cause I just see the same situations between Tanjirou/Giyuu and Kanao/Shinobu's interactions.

Big siblings figure with their little siblings moment >>>>

Giyuu thinking he's rather off dead and Tanjirou managed to successfully help him realise that his life is worth it,

and Shinobu about to tell Kanao of her suicidal plan with Kanao unable to convince her otherwise.

Two Hashiras; one overwhelmed with survivor guilt and another stop caring about anything else but revenge.

One realises he needs to live because that's what his late sister and Sabito would've wanted, and another ignores her late sister's will to keep on living and decides to soothe her anger by avenging the late sister.

Also I love how Giyuu asked about Shinobu's training, seeing that he doesn't 'hear' anything from her; implying that, possibly, in times he went to shut himself off like this, she would've written to him about what's going on and keeps in touch with him.

Oh my god he doesn't know about her plan. This hits harder now :((

Woah it's like a reverse role. Now that I added the pics side by side, I adore the switch between them -- like how we see another side of them.

It's a bit odd to see the usually cheerful Shinobu looking so serious, and the sombre looking Giyuu seems relaxed now, isn't it?

Re-watching KNY season 2 reaction, and I have come to a conclusion/headcanon that Uzui secretly is a nervous wreck and has his emotions running higher whenever his wives go to dangerous missions.

Like imagine having the women you love being sent to investigate an area that's reported inflicted with demons and suddenly received no letters from any of them? The only people he had left? The people that gave him reasons to stop blaming himself of the past?

He must have BEGGED Oyakata to let him go to the red light district, something that I am sure the usually reasonable and wise Oyakata wouldn't have allowed him to since unstable emotions can lead to reckless decisions. Personal feelings shouldn't cloud the eyes of rationality, nor must it be involved in highly risky missions.

I can actually see a bit of why he kinda acts like a jerk in the beginning, stubborn in finding slayers to be disguised and not hearing anyone because you know, he's in a hurry. He still keeps himself calm though, all those trainings as a ninja and slayer keep him grounded.

At least he apologises to Tanjirou and Inosuke later after Zenitsu disappears, finally coming to a realisation that he brings rookies into the fight with Uppermoon demons.

Sorry I just love his relationship with his wives 🥹💕 He breaks the trauma his father inflicted on him and treats his wives as human beings rather than objects.

KNY PROMPT IDEA 2#

During the time Tanjirou spends in Butterfly Mansion healing from injuries, Nezuko ventures the estate area and stumbles around the other slayers. Most are understandably wary and cautious, some are nice and friendly, and there are those who glare at her in hatred.

(Short stories centring Nezuko hanging around other slayers and get more perspectives on what everyone is fighting for and understanding how complicated her status is as a demon among slayers)

I can't stress how I love the latest episode of KNY season 4, how cute it is and how the anime gives more context and stories.

I love the connection between Hashiras, how we see that they do have fun with each other, and how Muichiro opens up more to others. Connecting between people will give more depth and feelings on the future...

I also love the paper planes scene. They all are animated beautifully, and the close up on Muichiro and Tanjirou? It'll be Muichiro's memory that he fonds of, and something that Tanjirou will look back at...

(we all know this will just add more angst in the next arc.)

Also I remember drawing a Muinezu fanart of them doing origami, so I might redraw that with paper planes too later 😊💖

Edit; the way I gasped when seeing the hundreds eyeballs...I was like EW EW WHY ARE THEY MOVING LIKE THAT NAKIME I LOVE YOU BUT WHAT ARE THOSE 😭😭

Kny ramble, (I should start numbering these lol)

Remember how Kokushibou said that whenever he and Yoriichi talked about how their breathing styles have no successors, and Yoriichi suddenly becomes optimistic and smiles? I shared the same confusion with Kokushibou, on why Yoriichi seems quite delighted at such idea.

Then it struck me that probably means, having no need to teach breathing styles means no more demons. The Breathing style started as a way to enhance the body for Yoriichi, a way to utilise the body to become better in terms of movement and maybe health...before being seeing as a weapon. It's being weaponized. For greater good, granted, but still. And Yoriichi hates conflict.

Having no successors can be meant that breathing style is no longer needed because demons are gone. But there's a possibility it can be used for another intention, and Yoriichi, who has seen how greed and envy influenced his brother, guesses that breathing style could take a very, very bad turn.

A way to get the body stronger? Faster? For what purpose? Violence then, if not for demons slaying.

Yoriichi is probably grateful that the demon slayer organisation is a hidden one, a small community that has only a small splotch of corruption between the slayers from the difference in morals, and that not everyone believes in demons.

Breathing style can be used for a good cause...as it also can be weaponized for destruction.

I am going to watch the new KNY episode when I calmed down a bit cause this excitement and stress from assignments has me overwhelmed I don't know what to do with this
