My favorite Rarepair (Modern Au)

Shizu Shinazugawa and Koyuki’s dad (Keizo) gets married. Everyone becomes one big happy family.

Sanemi and Hakuji can barely stand each other but they put with each other for the sake of their parents and Koyuki.

Sanemi and Koyuki actually have a loving brother-sister relationship, and their favorite activity to do together is watch shitty movies so they can both hate and love the absurdity of the movies.

Koyuki loves having siblings, she was an only child, which was pretty lonely, so having the constant bustle of chatter and activities gives her great joy.

All the younger kids take great pleasure in watching their new stepdad do cool martial arts tricks, though Shizo worries that one day he might break something precious.

Genya and Nezuko takes Martial Arts lessons from Keizo but sometimes from Hakuji as well.

The Shinazugawas moved in with Keizo and immediately began running up and down the space.

Shizu and Keizo met at a market. They go shopping on the same days (wednesdays and Fridays, less foot traffic) and Keizo would look out for her, in terms of deals, bad vendors and overall just making sure she was safe.

He eventually asked her to a picnic date, which they both stressed over horribly, it went great.

Shizu was very hesitant to introduce her kids to Keizo, waiting until their 1 year anniversary to introduce him (the kids knew, she was not slick at all) because after their dad she never wanted to put them in that situation again.

Keizo buys Shizu flowers À LOT. She loves them but she’s worried she’s going to run out of space soon. He’s also a very physically affectionate. Shizu mostly leaves him little notes of encouragement and kind words and he eats it up. He boasts to anyone willing to listen

Shizu still has trauma and fears from her last husband and Keizo is always mindful of this and tries his best to accommodate her.

Shizu hides away from her feeling whenever something gets too much however Keizo confronts thing head on so he constantly has to be urging her to say what bothers her so they can fix it. This is an ungoing problem in there relationship and Shizu is trying desperately to fix it but some habits are hard to break. Especially when it was used as a tool of survival.
