The Preserved Steam Engine "D511072" near #Kobe Station and Nishi #Motomachi Station in Kobe! The memorial plate says, "We welcome you who has been active for more than 30 years from 1947 to 1975 at this place near the end of the Tokaido Main Line and Sanyo Main Line at the site of the Aioi Bridge Ruins. Do you know that famous crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo that you always see on documentaries about Japan? Well, the Motomachi area of Kobe also has a crossing like that except it's more chill and people are better dressed.

A view of Kobe from the sea. I drew this from memory without looking at any pictures. Part of the PR Ambassador program's mission is to help the ambassadors themselves learn more about the city through tours, events, get-togethers and newsletters. My plan is to sit down again, one year from now, and redraw this same scene from memory. Then I can compare the two and see how much I've learned in one year!
