jax, that was someone they wanted to talk to after the whole bike thing so they purposely went looking for him this time. when they found him they didn’t say hi, didn’t really greet him, instead all they asked was, “have you ever had a crush on someone before?”

koda had a water in their hand and saw someone familiar heading towards them. on instinct they covered their drink with their hand and tucked it behind your back. “i almost got sick last time you drank from my drink you can’t have any this time.”

koda had been neglecting getting rid of their research and not on purpose, it just kept slipping their mind because they were helping around the house. however today they remembered, a lighter already in their pocket for later. "shit." they mumbled when they checked their spot that it should've been hidden and saw the papers were gone. maybe they moved it? they removed their pillow case and shook it out, wasn't there. lifting up their mattress, wasn't there. where could it be was all they thought as they continued to turn their stuff over.

they weren't fluent in sign language, really it was something they needed to brush up on but they knew enough. she tapped heather on the shoulder and attempted to sign, 'is there anything that needs to be done?' when she turned around.

koda needed something to do to occupy their time and figured exploring the town would be a good idea, considering they were going to be there for the unforeseeable future. she didn't care about any of the items on the shelf, picking up something random and turning it over in their hands to examine it closer. "i think this thing is older than me." they mumbled it mostly to herself then put it back. sighing she shoved her hands into her pockets and glanced around the shop. "everything here's gotta have a story on where it came from, wonder what some of them are." koda said to seemingly anyone who would listen.

"that obvious?" koda asked with a laugh. that sure was some intro, shaking the hand that was offered. "koda but you'd be correct, only been here a week so far." she ended up getting a concerned look on their face as they thought back for a second. "did i hear that right? savagely nutcrackered?"

koda glanced at sandra, she recognized the women from the commune and knew she was the person in charge there now. shaking their head by the time she got to the apology, koda gave a quick smile. "no worries, i was able to find out pretty quickly my timing wasn't great." they said and nodded now. "yeah i'm pretty sure i do thanks. just out trying to learn the town, figured i'd stop here first."
