What if Melinda or the Twins met Matthew van Lewen? 4 years older (or more) but who cares XD Maybe even the interaction with the ghost gives him powers later, makes a late witch out of him xD

So this is why Tanner has the powers that heh as:

Since the acceleration power works on a molecular level and can make fire, I thought it was normal for him to have a pyrokinetic development.

Because they mixed telekinesis with orbing to do telekinetic orbing, I thought there should be a consequence too to this power. So instead of just reducing things to their basic molecular expression (which forces an object to implode from the inside to the outside, or burn (in acceleration)), Tanner reduces a thing to orbs, forcing it to twirl. Do you remember how Simon Marks orbed? He did it in twirls, while Paige does it differently and Leo goes up like Chris and Wyatt (which means, it is actually a signature). So he forces something or someone to get into the stage they get whenever someone orbs it/them.   Meaning, while orbing , someone turns first into those orbs of light and then travels and then goes back at being meat and bone (or an object per se).

So, with Kody:

If he slows molecules first and then stops it wouldn't be weird to develop that side of the power that had Piper warlock, though probably limited to objects and demons while being good.

As a side effect, cryokinesis would be the normal development, maybe interacting with the air itself.

And then, since he is a hybrid, it wouldn't be wrong for him to do the same than Tanner does, though instead of separating, he slows them. Whiile Tanner works to make something disappear his could work to trap. Like a prison of orbs, as orbing deceleration makes something move slowly and in pain (since orbs can hurt or disgust demons) and with orbing immobilization it works as an absolute trap (and again, hurting for demons) that works mostly like the true witch power against witches but somehow offensive against demons and darklighters. 

And while he can't freeze good witches, he can do it with the orbing side of powers.

Headcanon

Out of all the cousins, Chris is arguably closest to Kody. Both know what it's like to be overshadowed by the rest of the family, and became close because of it. So close that they would sneak away when they were younger to vanquish demons (infuriating their mothers and Wyatt in the process).
