My Japanese Kogin embroidered brooches.
Kogin embroidery, 2017.
Some of my kogin (a style of Japanese folk embroidery) pieces.
I MADE A BUTTON
the button making kit has 12 for 100 yen which is crazy. it requires some serious arm strength though. like muscles you didn't even know existed in there
overall it took around an hour? so I foresee a decent profit considering both time and money. and besides that, I'm REALLY proud of myself for making something I've seen sold in shops. I feel accomplished for real!
Kogin embroidery practice. Patterns from koginbank.com.
So far finding thin sashiko thread to be preferable to 3 strands of embroidery floss. This is a practice sampler. Next project I plan to use a different fabric, this does not move the way I want it to.
Just had a very stupid idea but also :^)
