" CAREFUL THERE, " THE lamb hummed, hand hovering over the other's shoulder as if trying to steady the stranger when she had noticed they had almost slipped on the fresh ice. " Winter seems to be coming early this year, huh? "

SHE HAD BEEN distracted all day, which was very unusual for the diligent waitress. Kokoro was typically one of the cafe's hardest worker and greeted everyone with warm smiles and an inviting demeanor. Except for that late afternoon. He did not come inside, but she had caught a glimpse of him outside the window, lurking about in the way he always had.
Some of her usual customers expressed their worry for the small lamb, who was usually energetic and full of energy. But they were luckily understanding to the fact that not everyone can be chipper and happy around the clock and they had wished her well as they left. It made her feel bitterness settle in the pits of her stomach.
Kokoro loved it here, but if Remi had found her, that would mean she would have to leave. Business started to slow and she tried to distract herself as she closed up shop. As soon as she was finished, she went around back, pulling her jacket around herself. As she snuck around back, head bowed forward, she bumped into someone and she gasped, stumbling back as her eyes lifted.
Fear ran through the very core of her being, only to calm down as soon as she realized who it was. Tugging on her sleeve, she managed a tight smile. " W--Winter-san, it's just you. . . Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you like that. You're not hurt, are you? " The usual chirp in her voice was gone, almost forced.

PARANOIA GRIPPED AT her chest, and for good reasons, too. For the pat week, an uneasy feeling has been settling in the pits of her stomach. She'd like to think that maybe she was over-thinking things. That maybe her paranoia was finally driving her insane. She would very much rather be insane than facing the truth of everything.
She was being followed.
Sometimes she would catch a glimpse of him, hiding in some distance, face hidden by a hood pulled over his head. He was clearly male, because only a male would have such a tall and broad figure. But who was he? Some fan who had somehow recognized her? Or was he--God, she hoped it wasn't him.
But as always, luck was against her. Life itself was against her. The one person she was running away from just had to show up, right before her eyes. She had been throwing out the trash for the cafe she worked at, getting ready to close up for the day when he appeared.
Remi had started spouting stuff at her, stuff like how he missed her so much. Kokoro was alone that night, telling her co-worker that she could go on ahead of her; it wasn't like she has never closed before, after all. The last thing she had expected was for him to show up.
It was unlike Kokoro to raise her voice or anything, but she was screaming at the top of her lungs for him to leave her alone, that she wanted nothing to do with him. But of course he would not take kindly to that, and the next thing she knew, her back was slammed against the wall and she was fighting against him.
‹ He--Help!! Somebody help me!! ›

ANGRY SHOUTS CHASED after the lamb as she fled from the wolves which hunted her down. She had messed up, messed up big time and now she was in danger. Honestly, she had no idea what she feared more: the thugs chasing after her or her forced affiliation with the Purple Crowns. When she came to Ikebukuro, it was to start a new life and escape her problems, not find new ones. Rounding a corner, she crashed into someone and a small wince escaped the girl, though she was quick to stand to her feet with a hasty look over her shoulders. ‹ S--Sorry, sorry! I, uh, I was-- › She didn't have time for this.

Was that--? It couldn't be. There was just no way that was him. Rationally Kokoro knew it was just her being paranoid. She did everything necessary to cover her tracks and made sure no paper or electronic trail could lead to her. Feet carried her forward, picking up pace as she walked. The man she had been eyeing looked around, and once she got a full view of his face, her shoulders sagged in relief.
Just as she had thought, it wasn't him. She was just being paranoid. Just as she looked forward, her face smacked into something hard and she yelped, falling back. " S--Sorry, sorry! " Peeking open an eye, to her utter embarrassment, she was apologizing to a pole. " Ow, my face -- " A whine.

" If only I was just a little taller. . . -- " The book she needed was just beyond her reach, fingertips brushing against the base of the spine. Shoulders rose and fell as she pursed her lips together, hands on her hips as she glared up at the tomes on the very top shelf.

" Izumo-san, is that you? " All of a sudden she was grateful that she had decided to work over-time. The last person she expected to see walking into the cafe she worked at was the blonde, but she wasn't complaining at all.

Amethyst hues blinked in rapid succession, brows pinched together. Staring down at the slip of paper before her, her head hung in defeat. " I'm lost, aren't I? " A helpless sigh escaped the lamb, the paper wrinkling in her hold. She thought she could do this, but she was wrong.
