Scaramouche x Kokomi AU where Kokomi is a siren, charming her victims and actively drowning them, and Scara is a puppet sent by the Doctor to catch and bring her to his lab.

Scara is unfeeling and therefore immune to Kokomi's voice and beauty. His body is heavier than that of a human, though, and he will go straight under like an anchor if he steps into the water.

Kokomi doesn't know that Scara isn't human. She's fascinated by his unnatural resilience no one else before him had shown, but she's also smart and cautious and will not leave her spot in the middle of the bottomless lake.

As they get to know each other, an invisible battle of wits commences. Days slowly go by as they both struggle to outsmart each other into stepping out of their comfort zones straight into their traps. Feelings hit them like a brick when they learn they're not that different from one another, and following their initial goals turns into a bigger challenge.
