I'm starting a debate;

Which Kokotaim members from the series 'Boboiboy' best suit the Colour Gang from Alan Becker's 'Animator vs. Animation/Animation vs. Minecraft'?

(I'm in NEED for someone to prove me wrong.)

Spoilers for AvA S3, AvM S4, and Boboiboy up until Gentar arc.

TSC / Orange and Boboiboy

Ah yes, 'the orange boi who can't control their powers'. They're the leader of the group of people who is prone of getting dropkicked on a random Tuesday.

TSC has seen controling his powers multiple times but can't activate it while Boboiboy can easily use his powers if he wanted to but couldn't control it.

Despite this, they're willing to put others before themselves first. Even if they'll lose their memories soon after.

(P.S: If you wanna ask which BoEl fit TSC, I'm betting Earthquake. Both having that sort of leader aura and the ability to bring life to inanimate objects. Not to mention they're both share that 'heavy hitter' fighting style.)

2. Green and Fang

(Yes, I'm using these random pictures just to confuse people.)

So why I didn't follow their colour scheme? I mean, Purple and Fang share similarities too, right?

They both take up about 90% of the fighting scene budget (Source: Trust me bro)

They both having a need to seek others for validation (albeit not so obvious).

They got bullied alot.

They have dedicated arc(s).

They're second in command after their leaders in their perspective groups.

They can sing.

There's so many parallels between the two, but these are just to start. Maybe one could argue that Purple or Red fit Fang more but... I'm up for debates.

3. Blue and Yaya

(Yeah, Yaya's picture is the only one from the Galaxy Season 1 because we never got to see her cookies in S2 other than the ones Gopal makes.)

The easist way to describe them is that 'they don't start fights, they end them'.

Other way to describe them is that 'that one friend who isn't okay but they still function in society so we don't talk about them'.

(Which is worst? Mushrooms that hurt you or cookies that taste like sandpaper?)

Yeah, my final point for them is that they unintentionally started a whole episode with those things... (BBB OgS1 Ep 10-11 and AvM S3)

(Actually no, it's all because of the main villains of the series STOP BLAMING THEM.)

4/5. Red and Gopal / Purple and Qually

Gopal and Red are mostly good vibes, being the one to confront others and is willing to not abandon them at times need. (Okay that was a streeetch.)

The examples that I could give (other than the pictures above) is that Gopal was willing to defend Boboiboy in the Gentar arc, even when he's confronted by the Rosaksa and Red, despite constantly disagreeing with Green in the Influencer Arc, made sure that the video glitch never gets uploaded.

Purple and Qually? Well, they have betrayed the gang before. (Saying that ever so casually.) But they've attempted to try and fix their mistakes, always there in case of support.

Also you can't recognise them without the Elytra and the cookbook, those two are mandatory by law.

6. Yellow and Ying / Ochobot

Tbh, I'm leaning in more towards Ochobot for Yellow, but I feel bad for leaving out Ying.

Yellow and Ying fit more for what they do in combat. They're both smart and they act as supports for the others. Their primary fighting style revolves around kicks to disrupt their enemies balance.

But the reason why I choose Yellow and Ochobot is that they both took charge on the more technical side of the group. They're proficient in handling with technology like how Yellow is an expert handling redstone and Ochobot always checking out their power watches. But they're the weakest of the group, up to the point that enemies would kidnap them for their prowress like how Yellow was kidnapped because he knew how to summon the cursor and Ochobot was taken multiple times because of the power inside of him, most notibly the teleportation power.

In conclusion: I only started this because TSC and Boboiboy are going though what is basically the same thing... uhh... but then I started to make the dots and... I wanted to experiment with something new.

That night, when both Tok Aba and Boboiboy returned home, the old man stopped his grandson for a moment to ask:

Boboiboy didn’t miss a beat.

As much as that answer was supposed to reassure Tok Aba, it had the opposite effect.

Looks like Tok Aba would have to talk to his grandson’s friends and ask for their help.

Ochobot : elemental manipulation (no splits sadly)

Was Qually ever meant to be a Kokotaim member?

This started a few days ago when I was talking about the teaser for the Boboiboy comics when this comment pop out.

For context @unable-to-mechanize-anymore were refering to these tags:

I had initially placed that in as a joke, but after this comment I just couldn't stop thinking about it.

Honestly? I don't want Qually to take a backseat. Not because of Kokotaim needing a new member, it's because of how relevant he was compared to Sai/Sheilda.

Sai/Sheilda was introduced in Galaxy Season 1 Ep 11, and it was clear how they were supposed to be a side character. They were given 1 job, stop the Kokotaim and make sure they fail the test. After that we were only given small snipets of them, like in GL1 Ep16 they were seen fighting the intruders and in Ep23-24 they were defending the station. Even then those are minor roles, they didn't intervene with the main plot.

Qually, on the other hand, didn't receive that treatment.

In Rimbara Arc we learn about his motivations and his goals, which is a clear difference than Sai/Sheilda. We know first hand on why Qually was willing to resort to such tactics, something that we didn't see with Sai/Sheilda. It was never throughly explained (at least with accessible media) why Sai/Sheilda stopped the gang, compared to Qually who was on the conquest to become the greatest cook of all time. Yes, it was unreasonable, but it gives you context that he did this for a reason, even if it's only vaild in his eyes.

While we didn't see him in Kadruax and Windara arc, Qually definetely played a major role in Gentar and Baraju. Qually suggested the idea of a nuclear bomb to stop Rosaksa, and in the comics, he was the reason why Boboiboy used Gentar in the first place. In Baraju, Qually came up with the idea to lure in the tribe captains into a peaceful talk, and he, helping Toktaroka, ensured that Boboiboy's 3rd tier powers are stable.

To add to that, in the comics during the Gurlatan arc, Qually was looking out for the Oakuat fruit, ensuring that the fruit is safe and sound + delivering it back to Boboiboy. He confirms with Boboiboy when Boboiboy suggested to share the fruits with the others and made them a special blend to help them digest the fruit and to give them the maximum amount of power needed to defeat Kirana. Not to mention that he did try to help Captain Kaizo heal him up.

(Is this everything? I'm just saying things in my head without rechecking the sources.)

Back to the question at hand, Qually is too important of a character to them to abandon, especially considering how much of a flop he was in explaining Sopan (I don't even like him that much). Like it's weird leaving him after that very unsatisfying conclusion of him restabilizing Boboiboy in Baraju.

But then I watched back the Boboiboy Movie 3 teaser, and guess who we haven't seen yet.

(Oh yeah and also Tok Kasa.)

I think that's weird, first off, when I had dedicated that one paragraph explaining his role in Gurlatan. Qually had a big role, and we haven't seen any mention in it. But then again, this is a teaser after all, it's does not equal to the actual movie itself.

But when you add in the comic 3 announcement and... yeah...

TL;DR: Qually definitely played a major role and seeing no mention of his feels kinda suspicious.

But I may be wrong, and maybe Monsta is trying to hide something from us.
