I'm Maple, and I never actually seen a maple tree before. The tree itself is actually not native from where I'm from. So why Maple? Well it's because of an anime that I love.
I do posts about Boboiboy, Project Sekai and maybe some other medias if it interests me. I also do some personal ramblings under the tag '#maple rambles'.
(Is it original? No, not really.)
I don't draw, but I do theories and talks! It can be random at times, but here's a list of ones I've done so far:
Elemental Analysis - I talk about the prominent features of the characters from 'Boboiboy'.
Thunderstorm
Cyclone
Earthquake
Blaze
Ice
Thorn
Solar
Boboiboy theories - A series of theories about the show 'Boboiboy'.
And lastly, here's some links to some fandom stuff I've done!
Boboiboy stuff
Proseka stuff
AvA/M stuff
So yeah :D. Stay tuned, for Maple stuff.
Note: I don't allow for any gender/shipping discussions under my post. Please respect that fact as I will not hesitate to remove your post if needed.
Any art/edits that I make doesn't uses AI and are free to use with credits. And just to clarify, I don't have any other accounts outside of Tumblr.
Sidequest rq but Mitya is basically Nagito, Beliung's scarf, Misha, Fubuki, Kanade if you squirt, Yellow (its his personality somehow) all combined in a single character and explodes in my face.
(I've found another hyperfixation guys.)(Save me.)
Warning: Long rambling below. I'm just a humble fan with a fondness of these topics getting touched more often.
Something about the Influencer Arc just works, y'know?
The arc starts off with something simple. Just a couple of friends doing trickshots together. This part of the video should signify the fact that all of them are in a close relationship. From willingly trusting the other to hit the ball on his head with a hammer, to celebrating together when the ball makes a shot. Then it was followed by them watching the video they’ve uploaded to Youtube, making a superhero video and editing it together. When they were attacked, they were working together in sync, providing each other with weapons and support.
You don’t have to watch any Alan Becker videos to understand, “Oh, they’re best friends.” That’s the message that the first video was trying to achieve. “They’re best friends.” They’re willing to bet their lives for the other, from the trickshot video to fighting the monster (or as the community likes to call it, GreenScreen). This can be interpreted as a new content creator, still fresh from the oven, with the support of their family and friends. That, yeah, content creation is just a side gag.
Then comes the 2nd episode, IS GREEN OKAY!
This is the part where we could see slight shifts in Green personality. From getting distracted just to watch the comments flood in, to him removing TSC’s cape following a misunderstanding from a “No capes!” comment. It was odd to see Green so easily give in with his fans. Then he shifts to do vlogs, vertical dancing content, which we can see the others not particularly interested in. Then came the isolation. Just a simple comment like “yellow is pretty useless here lol”, “is orange supposed to be dancing here”, “I love how you guys only make quality content!” Green is quick to disregard their friends, completely ignoring their own wishes as well. Over time, the channel became entirely Green centric.
The turning point? Green eating grass.
No, I’m serious. His comments are full of ‘eat the grass!’ jokes. Keyword, joke. It was a fun little gimmick, as expected, like how Phainon from HSR fans would overuse the “IceElation” joke. At most, it’s just a funny, meaningless joke. But when Green made a video actually eating the grass, the crowd was… confused. This should alert you that Green is willing to resort to dangerous stuff like this.
Then came the prank. Green conducts a video of dropping all of his friends in lava. And I’d hate to be a witness of this in real time, cause I’d be pissed off, dropping Green as my favourite character and crying in bed, consciously thinking about this all the time. (Lucky that I don’t, because of the Blue willingly jumping in the lava scene.) But back on topic, this is when his friend confronted him upfront, probably mad about this whole ordeal. TSC shoves him, Blue dipping his legs in water, Red helping Yellow up, all the while Green was laughing, with sunglasses and emojis scattered all across the screen. He was blind towards his friends pain, and eventually, his abandonment at the time.
The episode ends with probably the saddest scene I’ve ever seen, Green constantly refreshing his page. I don’t know about you but the implication behind this is insane. I’ve mentioned this, but Green is lost in his own world, watching the comments appear, looking at graphs and the engagement he’d gotten from his fans. He even replied to comments pretty often as well, as if he was waiting for others to respond to him. At this point, Green placed a higher value on his fans over his friends.
When Burnout came around, it was pretty clear. When you lose the support holding you, you will come tumbling down like an avalanche. Green tried to pretend that they’re happy without their friends. But in the end, it leaked through. He was depressed, stuck in his dark room all the time and just constantly reading and rereading the comments through and through. All of his videos after that point are just in that room (except the house tour), with the final one where he admits that he'd like to take a break, that he was a terrible friend to the others and got rid of those sunglasses, showing his sincerity about everything.
(Also I’d hate to be the others here, but they’re stuck in that box for 4 days. Villain arc all you want but let ‘em out of thereeee.)
I don’t really have to say much about the overall fighting scene, but I’d like to talk about the ending. Normally, a happy ending doesn’t come like this. Most influencers who go down this dark path would usually… disappear. Channels abandonned with no updates whatsoever. I’m not saying much since I’m not a professional in this topic and the word ‘disappear’ has a pretty broad meaning that you’ll understand. But Green’s ending wasn’t one of those.
He tore apart the videos from GreenScreen that his friends worked so hard on and uploaded it to the channel, despite he’s the one who was against it at first. In the end, he embraced the imperfections they all had and uploaded the GreenScreen up at last.
After that, he was done. He apologized, their friends forgave him and never touched the channel again. He didn’t delete the videos, he didn’t hide his mistakes, he acknowledges the fact that this crave for attention is a real thing…
And it could happen to you too.
So! Whew, I love this arc so much! Sorry for all of the misconceptions I have with them or the overall arc itself, I wrote all of this in one setting. All of these are my personal interpretations and I apologize for any mistakes I made. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. Check out the whole video arc and the channel right here.
A little story I remember the date so clear because 8 ogos is the same date sains tryer of UPSR for year 2019 at my school.
I remember being depress because my parent refuse to let me watch that movie because my ass living in Kelantan and there's no cinema here. My parent refuse to go to Terengganu for it.
I was so upset. I didnt pass the Sains paper which make my parent feel bad because they know I love the subjects so seeing me fail because they refuse to let me watch some kid movie WHICH THEY KNOW IM OBSES WITH, they finally let me.
So yeah 4 hour drive RM80 of petrol drive, RM20 worth a tickets and 5 of us making it RM100 and food that my father refuse to talk about how much during going and back from the cinema, I actually able to watch BoBoiBoy the movie 2 :D. All because my parent's "Puteri Sulung" love cartoons way too much
That was my first and last time so far I able to step foot in a cinema tho.
I remember watching it with my sibs, cause it was during Aidiladha, so my aunt drove 30 mins to the mall and we got to watch together. Watching the movie was really nice, it was the usual cool effects and the power of friendship stuff.
I don't think I was obsessed with Boboiboy back then unlike right now (I was the kid who watches Malay drama every 9-10 pm), but I remember wanting to watch it because my cousins already watched it, and support local.
(Little did she know it will haunt her few years later.)
Which Kokotaim members from the series 'Boboiboy' best suit the Colour Gang from Alan Becker's 'Animator vs. Animation/Animation vs. Minecraft'?
(I'm in NEED for someone to prove me wrong.)
Spoilers for AvA S3, AvM S4, and Boboiboy up until Gentar arc.
GO CHECK THEM OUT FIRST. (Cause you're missing out on peakkk.)
TSC / Orange and Boboiboy
Ah yes, 'the orange boi who can't control their powers'. They're the leader of the group of people who is prone of getting dropkicked on a random Tuesday.
TSC has seen controling his powers multiple times but can't activate it while Boboiboy can easily use his powers if he wanted to but couldn't control it.
Despite this, they're willing to put others before themselves first. Even if they'll lose their memories soon after.
(P.S: If you wanna ask which BoEl fit TSC, I'm betting Earthquake. Both having that sort of leader aura and the ability to bring life to inanimate objects. Not to mention they're both share that 'heavy hitter' fighting style.)
2. Green and Fang
(Yes, I'm using these random pictures just to confuse people.)
So why I didn't follow their colour scheme? I mean, Purple and Fang share similarities too, right?
They both take up about 90% of the fighting scene budget (Source: Trust me bro)
They both having a need to seek others for validation (albeit not so obvious).
They got bullied alot.
They have dedicated arc(s).
They're second in command after their leaders in their perspective groups.
They can sing.
There's so many parallels between the two, but these are just to start. Maybe one could argue that Purple or Red fit Fang more but... I'm up for debates.
3. Blue and Yaya
(Yeah, Yaya's picture is the only one from the Galaxy Season 1 because we never got to see her cookies in S2 other than the ones Gopal makes.)
The easist way to describe them is that 'they don't start fights, they end them'.
Other way to describe them is that 'that one friend who isn't okay but they still function in society so we don't talk about them'.
(Which is worst? Mushrooms that hurt you or cookies that taste like sandpaper?)
Yeah, my final point for them is that they unintentionally started a whole episode with those things... (BBB OgS1 Ep 10-11 and AvM S3)
(Actually no, it's all because of the main villains of the series STOP BLAMING THEM.)
4/5. Red and Gopal / Purple and Qually
Gopal and Red are mostly good vibes, being the one to confront others and is willing to not abandon them at times need. (Okay that was a streeetch.)
The examples that I could give (other than the pictures above) is that Gopal was willing to defend Boboiboy in the Gentar arc, even when he's confronted by the Rosaksa and Red, despite constantly disagreeing with Green in the Influencer Arc, made sure that the video glitch never gets uploaded.
Purple and Qually? Well, they have betrayed the gang before. (Saying that ever so casually.) But they've attempted to try and fix their mistakes, always there in case of support.
Also you can't recognise them without the Elytra and the cookbook, those two are mandatory by law.
6. Yellow and Ying / Ochobot
Tbh, I'm leaning in more towards Ochobot for Yellow, but I feel bad for leaving out Ying.
Yellow and Ying fit more for what they do in combat. They're both smart and they act as supports for the others. Their primary fighting style revolves around kicks to disrupt their enemies balance.
But the reason why I choose Yellow and Ochobot is that they both took charge on the more technical side of the group. They're proficient in handling with technology like how Yellow is an expert handling redstone and Ochobot always checking out their power watches. But they're the weakest of the group, up to the point that enemies would kidnap them for their prowress like how Yellow was kidnapped because he knew how to summon the cursor and Ochobot was taken multiple times because of the power inside of him, most notibly the teleportation power.
In conclusion: I only started this because TSC and Boboiboy are going though what is basically the same thing... uhh... but then I started to make the dots and... I wanted to experiment with something new.
Some more AvA/M and Boboiboy stuff I need to get rid of:
You can do TCO as Tok Kasa, TDL as Retak'ka. The thing is, the one holding all the elemental powers is TCO, and...
The Newgrounds incident is basically an evil Tok Kasa AU attacking on Gurlatan. (Which means AvA S2 is BM2 and AvA S3 is basically BM3)
Corn Dog Guy. Yeah, the guy who always on the grindset for money? Alright, so we have a similar guy in Boboiboy, not so sure if you know him, I think he's Pak Pato?
If the Colour Gang and Kokotaim were to meet (on Earth), Yaya will probably offer them her cookies, and chances are, only Blue is surviving those things.
1. This is from a oneshot I made, after Yellow and Blue entered the portal for the first time (Titan Ravanger). Basically Blue addresses his pain post lava incident and Yellow accidentally realises that he bombed Blue.
2. Maybe if I want to flex my (non-existant) art skills, then I could possibly... but maybe not...
