Burdened by duty and responsibility as the eldest, feeling the weight of his family’s legacy.

Struggles between personal desires and the role he’s been forced to play.

Protective yet distant in relationships, hesitant to open up fully to others.

not fully villain, but not a traditional hero either.

choice changed in the universe:

instead of being put in kaleb’s body the first time he was resurrected, he was put in the body of another warlock. being given another chance at life and knowing he looked different and even had a different name. kol had two choices, and he took the most selfish one and left. it was only him looking after himself, after all. 

how the choice changed your muse’s life:

because of this, the mikaelsons never knew kol had been resurrected. ( nor esther or finn could prove it even as much as they said it. )  kol never met davina or knew of hope’s existence. he also didn’t die another time. he moved far away from new orleans and started fresh. he had a second chance at living a different life. 

what’s your au!muse up to nowadays:

you never stop knowing how to ride a bicycle once you have learned. and that’s exactly what happened in kol’s case. he quickly got back on magic and affined his skills. he wouldn’t call himself a teacher of any kind, but in his travels, he learns new ways of magic and helps any young witch that might need it. he doesn’t exactly regret his choice, but sometimes there is the small voice in his head that makes him wonder how the rest of his siblings are. or if they would’ve even cared that he was alive.

The World, The Lovers, The Moon

THE WORLD: What has been your muse’s greatest success?

Kol will always be proud to say he was the only other Mikaelson, aside from Freya, to tap into their witch roots. And that he was so good at it. Also the dark artifacts he created without being able to use magic himself. 

THE LOVERS: At what age did your muse first fall in love?

Its almost surprising to say a thousand yeard old vampire never fell in love– Until roughly 20 years ago. Kol had spent most of his life working on magic, and then trying to understand what it was to be a vampire letting his bloodlust to take control and the rest being daggered, he never really had the time to fall in love– Until he met Davina. 

THE MOON: Has your muse ever had something unexplained happen to them? If so, what?

He’s a vampire, and an Original one at that. A bunch of unexplained shit happening to him is basically the norm. But lately he’s still trying to wrap around his head why or how he’s stuck in San Francisco with a bunch of Gods and other creatures.

THE HERMIT: If your muse were trapped alone on an island, name three things they’d have to have. 

An endless supply of blood bags, his Shakespeare collection, and a phone with reception so he can talk to Davina :( (He wouldn’t risk her being there with him.)

JUSTICE: What’s something your muse has been dying to admit or confess?

Elijah sacrificing himself for what? As much as he understands why Klaus had to do that. He can’t even begin to wrap his head over Elijah’s reasoning.  He thinks Elijah was a fool to that, leaving the rest of his family behind. Maybe ‘Always and Forever’ didn’t fully include him (his words) but they did include Rebekah, and their older brother still left her behind. Kol has some thoughts, and maybe words for whenever he sees Elijah. 

THE HIEROPHANT: What is one rule or law your muse would never break?

Like the rest of his family, he breaks rules and laws on a daily basis. One thing we can say about Kol, though, is that he’d never cheat on a significant other.
