------------
So, a new weekly drawings series begins! Now featuring the creatures of a long forgotten and very niche creature collector game, Spectrobes!
So what is Spectrobes? Well here is a short video you can watch that explains it very nicely: https://youtu.be/j6HVOKzDTDg?si=EU87wyeaQUIadaRn
But if you need a quick summary, it is a creature-collector + action game franchise from Disney. It has three games, the original Spectrobes (2007), Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals (2008) and Spectrobes: Origins (2009). In these games you play as Rallen and Jeena, two “space cops” that must defend their solar system from dark creatures known as the Krawl using the powerful creatures of light known as Spectrobes. You find these creatures by excavating them, evolve them by feeding them minerals, and fight with them against the Krawl.
Even though this franchise is not popular at all (and admittedly I only recommend playing the third game) I still have some fondness for it, and I wanted more people to know about it.
I'm planning to do a full evolution line each week but probably I'll do some exeptions when needed.

Komainu
And thus, we start this series with Komainu! This is the “mascot” of the games and one of the very first Spectrobes you get in your adventures. Very goofy looking guy but it has a cool evolution line that is based on the lion-dogs statues of Japan.

Komanoto
Here is the first evolution of Komainu, the famous Komanoto who is also a very iconic monster of the series. I don’t use them much in my playthrough, but I remember that in origins you can quick spam theyr normal attack against the final boss which is pretty useful.
Komadoros
Here is the final evolution of the little Komainu, the big, scary and fluffy Komadoros. I really likes this design but I must admit that drawing the curved fangs can be pretty frustrating.
One thing you will notice with the Spectrobes evolution lines is that some characteristics of the design will suddenly disappear (Ex. The protuberances on Komanoto’s back), while other characteristics appear out of nowhere and /or are blown out of proportion (Ex. Komadoro’s golden crown + axes).
But the one thing they all have in common is that all evolutions go hard!
