I just watched the Konami E3 2010 conference
I had to compare it to SEGA’s Sonic 25th anniversary livestream…
I’m gonna be biased and say SEGA was at least had an excuse with all the technical issues keeping them behind schedule and the rushed nature of the announcements (although they clearly needed MUCH more time to plan the event.)
Konami was just… No effort was involved into preparing that presentation. It was like 4 groups of 12 year olds doing a group project at the same time as if it was all planned 10 minutes before. Although I have to admit the Dance Master guys seemed to have been hype tho.
With SEGA it was like every possible thing that could have gone wrong did go wrong and it crashed and burned the whole stream. The content was good (admittedly including the stuffed nachos since they look really tasty) just everything else let it down.
Both parties were an experience. And I’m not going to forget it (least till Sonic Mania drowns out the pain.)
