Favourite color: Blue

Last Movie/Show: rewatched "The Bishop's Wife" starring Cary Grant. I love this film!

Sweet/Spicy/Savoury: my fancies tend to be savoury, especially cheese & crackers (ideally with garlic), although I love sweet things too.

Relationship Status: *glances across the room at hubby* still married

Last thing I googled: the contact information of a company, for work. Real exciting stuff. Not.

Current Obession: getting organised for my sons visiting us for Christmas. Other than that, I'm still reeling/flying high about the 60th Doctor Who special ending. It gave me what many call "the warm fuzzies" (not a sentence I would ever say in real life, btw).

11. anything from your childhood you’ve held on to?

Not much exists from my childhood, to be honest, since Mum suddenly decided to give away our toys one day; and hubby chucked away the only teddy bear that survived. Not that I'm still holding that against him or anything.... much. Okay, I am. *sigh*

One of the few things I still have is a copy of the book "Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame, that a beloved primary teacher gave me that used to be hers, to remember her by. The paper cover is almost non-existent now, but I absolutely loved reading that book.

I suppose the other thing I've held onto is my love for Doctor Who. In fact, one of cousins was posted to Germany for many years, and when they came back the first thing they asked me was if I still watched Doctor Who. I hadn't realised anyone had noticed.

There used to be DW novels in the bookshop we visited, but they always seemed to be geared towards boys; and where did people buy their momentos back then?! Haven't a clue. So when the reboot happened and you could actually readily buy a Tardis or a Dalek, I did. Several, in fact.

26. how’s your spice tolerance?

As far as spice like chili is concerned, my tolerence is shamefully low, I'm afraid. A medication side effect means that chili can hurt my tongue, so a glass of milk is sometimes needed. Hotness is not my friend but I do like the taste of something spicy.

It's weird to look back and realise that the British cuisine available for the first part of my life was almost devoid of spice, unless you count things like Christmas cake or hot cross buns. My first curry was a Vesta packet meal for making a prawn curry, and my first Chinese meal was a Vesta chow mein. Both full of dried ingredients that had to be reconstituted.This was during the 1970s, btw. Olive oil was sold in tiny bottles and could only be bought from a pharmacy, would you believe? Nowadays it is easy to buy fresh ingredients and oils from all over the world in supermarkets.

Oops! Not sure you wanted to know that. But we have a lot to blame the Puritans for, where bland cuisine is concerned. It's taken us over 300 years since the Civil War to rediscover spice properly.

Are you alright with people printing your doctor who fanfiction? I have been getting into book making, and I love your stories and would love to have a physical copy.
