Summary: Managing a long-distance relationship has its challenges with a sweet reward waiting at home.

When Kongphob asked Arthit, “How are you doing?” Arthit would tell him, “Well enough,” which was as honest as he could bring himself to be.

When Arthit asked Kongphob, “How are you doing?” Kongphob would tell him, “I miss you,” which was honest but not an answer.

Day Two of KongArt Week

Prompt: outsider pov

Summary: The progression of Kongphob and Arthit's relationship through the eyes of four friends.

While Arthit apologizes to Kitty on Tutah’s behalf, Tutah leans over the table and catches a glimpse of the photographs in the album. Every single one is of the same pair of grooms, fashionably dressed and beaming at each other like they’re about to commit white collar crime and get away with it.

“Arthit,” Tutah gasps. “Are you and Kongphob getting married?”

Prompt: wedding

Summary: After the legalization of same-sex marriage Arthit and Kongphob jump into planning their wedding.

In the distance, someone calls Arthit’s name, and Arthit says, “I have to go. But you’re not off the hook. Your instincts for romance are decaying. If I’d known you were proposing in a bathroom I would have said no.”

Kongphob says, “I love you,” and beams at the floor.

Arthit says, “I love you too,” and hangs up.

Summary: It's their bridge.

When they climb out of the taxi, Kong’s smile reaches his eyes. “Phi,” he says, “if you’re hungry, we didn’t have to come all the way out here.”

Arthit gives him a sarcastic smile. “It’s adorable how you think you’re funny,” he tells him.

Day Three of KongArt Week

Prompt: jealousy

Summary: There's only one rational person for Kongphob to be jealous of.

[Pay attention to your family.]

[I am. You’re my family.]

Arthit forces down a smile. Even if that’s sweet, even if Kongphob means it, Arthit’s not going to give Kongphob the pleasure of encouraging his ambushes. The fact that Kongphob can’t actually even see Arthit smiling from thousands of kilometers away is moot.
