Konkotchi is based on the kitsune, a Japanese mythical creature that is considered a 'fox spirit'. It is bipedal and has a round, yellow body with a white underbelly that extends up under it's snout, and its arms and legs are short and stubby. It has large ears with gray tips and a big fox-like tail with a white tip. Its eyes are usually closed, and it has a small dark nose at the end of its snout.

Bandai Releases Episode 100 of Tama Animation Series “TANOONTCHI vs. KONKOTCHI, the battle of Harvests!
Tanoontchi is picking his harvest and placing it into his basket when he sees Konkotchi flip over his bucket, and then they begin competing. They both build big piles of leaves, mushrooms, and other foliage. So they begin stuffing their faces and eating their harvest to see who can eat the most, and end up with big bellies. They shouldn’t compete so much!
