i might go to sleep obnoxiously early tonight but below is an assortment of misc thoughts i have about my boys™
in my head kenji is like a . high school or college sort of love . not high school TO college unless he was Really Dedicated but high school OR college. sorry, it’s the fear of commitment 💔 whether he’s better as a bf during hs or college is um . hard to say JDJKSKSK expect a lot of movie nights at his place, nestled so far into his side and against his chest that you swear you’ve created a you-shaped mold . he’ll snark throughout the movie unless it’s smth w heavy action . i’m begging you to make fun of him when his grip around you tightens during the scares in horror movies. rarely says the words “i love you,” but you’ve been with him this long—you know he knows that you know. it’s instinctual, the way he watches your expression when making a jab at someone else or a joke for a group of friends. the type to sometimes Actually forget semi-important dates (“who keeps track of monthaversaries after the year mark?”), but if he’s Pretending to forget, expect a good time; he knows you better than you might expect him to.
akinori is much of the same but i can see him being hs sweethearts so you don’t have to worry abt commitment issues 🤝 show him off and make it clear to the world that This Is Your Person!!!! the one that makes your heart sing and butterflies cause mass destruction in your disgestive system the WHOLE nine yards........i promise he’ll laugh it off in public but i know he appreciates being someone’s Number One. isn’t super heavy w pda but will stay in close proximity. likes to tangle his fingers with yours, whether he’s holding your hand properly or not (is there even a proper way to hold hands? he doesn’t care). the type to drop something off for you in between his own classes as you study in the library (written on the cup in his chickenscratch handwriting is a message of encouragement, every time). probably doesn’t share it with you for a while, but he has a playlist of songs that makes him think of you or things you’ve experienced together. the only person he wants to wake up next to (no matter what, for as long as you’ll have him) is you.
tetsu appreciates a slow burn....but i think he’s Peak Him in college or even later in life (but hs sweethearts ... what a concept). the hardest to start dating (he keeps his heart well-guarded, i imagine. it comes as easily to him as jumping to block a volleyball does—fingers angled just so to stop anything that might break through), but once he does i know both of you will think it was well worth the wait. he looks at you with this overwhelming fondness and it only fuels YOUR look of overwhelming fondness for him. probably falls in love with you more and more each day for the most mundane reasons. the way the sun catches your eyes during golden hour. your arms around him tightening in your sleep as he drifts off to join you. the sparkle in your eyes as you tell him all about the new restaurant that opened downtown that you have to go to next weekend. he loves you and sometimes he’s so overcome with the tender truth of it all that he doesn’t know what to say. (he doesn’t have to say anything, not when you feel the same way.)
