Information : « NCT’s Night Night ! » is radio show with NCT’s Johnny and Jaehyun which airs everyday between 11pm and Midnight (Korean Time). Each night has a different topic. « A long and Funny Night » is usually Fridays’ one*, but here it is on a Tuesday. So on Tuesdays, Johnny and Jaehyun invite Kwon Jinah and Park Jaejung to read true stories sent by listeners which are meant to be funny (or at least amusing).
Why this post ? : Listening to radio is a great way to improve your listening skills in a language. As it has no visual indication of what is being said, it forces you to concentrate on voices only to understand. What you can see above is a list of words I learnt (or learnt how to use/write) through listening to NCT’s radio show. I added a quick description of some of the topic that were held during the emission, so that if you want to listen to it, but you’re not confident enough to understand everything, you can read these descriptions before and then listen to it. It is meant to be a (very quick) brief of what they are talking about.
How to listen to SBS’ « NCT’s Night Night ! » and other radio shows ? : If your country’s time somehow matches Korean time, at a descent hour (which means not in the middle of the night) then you can listen to the show live (and even react with live comment) with the Gorealra App which is SBS’ official app (available for PC and Smartphones). The show airs on COOL FM (107.7).
For people from France, Deutschland and other neighbor countries : tune in at 3pm in winter hours and 4pm in summer hours.
For people from other countries : Korean Time is at UTC+9 all year round (they don’t change their clocks)
This app and the “Kong App” from KBS Radio allows you to listen to Korean radio in real time or in “replay” as podcasts. Both apps are available on Smartphone Apps platform and for PCs.
*They have one subject per night but I will do this kind of post only for this subject and the « 재쟈의 방 » (Jae&Joe’s Room), and maybe the « DO! 다이제스트 » with NCT’s Doyoung, even though I listen to it everyday.
Why french translations ? :
Because I’m french (^-^).
