          ❛   oh,   mendel   !   you  have  no  idea  how  hard  i  worked  so  mama  would  let  me  come  into  town  today.   ❜  she  knew  though,   that  this  all  would  be  worth  it.   any  amount  of  work  was  worth  it  to  spend  time  with  mendel.   ❛   i  brought  some  of  mama’s  bread  and  papa’s  butter   —-   i  hope  it  will  be  enough.   ❜

      ❛  MENDEL.  HI.  ❜  hodel clutches her book closer to her chest and scoots slightly,  making room for the boy on the bench.  ❛  i didn’t know you were coming to this part of town today.  ❜  liar.

     OH,  SHE was so excited.  after all that time of WAITING,  hodel and mendel were going on a date.  she didn’t even KNOW if it was a date,  but  —- it sure seemed like it.  a picnic in the park,  on a sunny day  —-  it had to be.  

     HODEL ARRIVED at the park at the designated time,  and couldn’t help the huge SMILE on her face.  there was mendel,  sitting on a blanket with a basket sitting on top of it.  her heart began to race,  and her hands began to shake,  just a little bit.  oh,  she was so excited  !  

     ❛  MENDEL.  HI.  ❜  she sits down next to him,  a giant smile on her face.  ❛  it’s so nice to see you.  ❜

be careful bc sometimes i go over the daily limit & u might ingest more salt than is healthy
