Famous Romanian architect, Kós Károly, left his print in Covasna county’s municipality as well. He designed the pile of the museum in 1911, being inspired by old traditions and his own expert view. He accepted the request from the museum’s part on the 2nd of April, 1911 and in June he was already ready with the plan of the building. In 1943 he made the plans for expansion, but this task was overtaken by Deák Barna in 1972. Every constructional idea was finished until 1978, with the contribution of numerous professionals. The gate’s and the building’s towers are covered with colourful enamelled tiles, which give a unique aspect to the edifice. The main gate is a typical Székely gate brought from Kézdimartonfalva/ Mărtineni, which with its simplicity enchants every visitor.
