Tbf ships don't have to be healthy to be interesting. Ships and dynamics both, actually. And just because a ship or dynamic a character is involved in is unhealthy, doesn't mean that character is 'evil' or irredeemable or whatever. Age gap ships, incest ships, abusive ships, or just toxic ones - all can be interesting to explore because it's fiction. No one is actually getting hurt. But why those dynamics arise and what kind of situations you can put them in can very much be interesting and it's not a crime to enjoy it.
