here's teenage denshin and koun with their (cropped) leader and to-be ship captain, neptune. neptune makes koun his first mate when they go out on their exploration! koun proves themselves when they go out on a 6 month expedition before graduation

their whole crew is young, neptune is only 24 in the story. denshin and koun are 19 when it begins.
