"lifting the shorter one up so they can be seen in photos" is literally Murasakibara and Akashi in my opinion
"Lifting the shorter one up so they can be seen in photos"
Objectively speaking, Kise’s the one with the best ideas when it comes to social gatherings: he’s good at making sure everyone has something to be interested in, something to talk about, something to be amused by. He —and Momoi— is a natural planner, someone who enjoys doing so too, and that’s why Akashi says yes to the idea of going to the movies and then to the mall in the first place.
It was a children’s movie, something about a dinosaur that made Midorima and Aomine tear up a little bit, entertaining enough for Murasakibara to not fall asleep, and he, personally, found it quite a good choice.
“Look!”, Momoi yells. “We have to take a picture with it!”
There is a giant cardboard poster right outside the movie theatre: The big green dinosaur and the small feral child are there standing as tall as Midorima, in the middle, the title of the movie in white letters. He can’t see what the whole fuss is about, to be honest, when Momoi and Kise start grabbing the others’ by the arm and pulling them closer to it, smiling and begging for them to say yes. The thing is he rarely gets much about the normal teenager things, but he enjoys seeing their friends happy and, probably, they have a valid reason for it.
“Akashi! Akashi, tell her to let me go!”, Aomine growls, trying to push the girl away.
“I think we should do it”, he says. “We should take a photo”.
“See? He doesn’t…what did you say?”
“I said we should do it”.
“Are you sure?”, Kuroko asks, getting closer to him. “Kise-kun will want to post it”, he clarifies.
“I know, Tetsuya”.
“Let’s get over with this”, Midorima sighs, as he stands next to the poster. “Take the goddamn photo”.
As they go around finding their spots —Kuroko on the floor, being the smallest, and the rest around him—, and Kise smiles at a stranger to convince her to take the photo for them, Akashi finally realises something: He’s small too.
“Come sit next to us”, Momoi tells him, but he doubts.
“He won’t sit on the fucking floor, Satsu, don’t be dumb”.
“If you stand there, you won’t be in the photo”, the stranger tells him.
“Wait”, Atsushi says.
Suddenly, his feet don’t touch the floor anymore and all his weight is being lifted by one of Murasakibara’s forearms as he carries him. He would protest, he wants to, but the taller teen seems to have a valid idea. He places himself between Midorima and Aomine, hiding the lift behind the last one, making Akashi look like he was levitating.
I honestly think teams 8 and 10 are amazing, and it'd be cool to see a universe where the world and situation is completely different for them.
For the Team 8 AU:
We'd get more insight into Kurenai's genjutsu abilities (which feel super understated), and her romance with Asuma.
I like the idea of Orochimaru targeting a Hyuga in this version, with Hiashi being killed and Hanabi believing it was done by a member of the branch family (not sure if it was actually true), and Orochimaru would take advantage of her pain in order to train her to be his next vessel. I would've had Neji do it instead, but unless we're lifting the curse on the branch family that seals the byakugan after their deaths, it wouldn't make sense.
Maybe make Kiba a jinchuriki and Akamaru a more friendly tailed beast, with a relationship similar to their main universe counterparts and Killer Bee with Gyuki. He has a similar enough personality to Naruto for the change to not be too different, albeit with certain alterations. It'd be cool if in this AU, Yashamaru survived and was a positive influence on Gaara, who helps Kiba whenever he gets frustrated and confused with his power, along with Kiba becoming good friends with Kankuro. I was originally gonna keep Naruto as the jinchuriki, but since a lot of Part 2 revolves around that with the Akatsuki, it's not doable--unless Orochimaru is the main villain instead of the Akatsuki. If that's the case…
3.5. If Orochimaru is the main villain, then I'd change the Akatsuki slightly: Itachi would never join it, having never eradicated his clan (who in this version have a rivalry with the Hyuga clan), and Obito would have been an amnesiac becoming Tobi after Zetsu rescues him because he reminds them of Madara Uchiha (who is dead by this time), and they raise him to believe he IS Madara, albeit maintaining the bubbly personality (which isn't fake here).
The training is very different. In this version, Tsunade is Naruto's grandmother by Kushina (I was gonna say Minato, but since her grandmother is an Uzumaki, some may feel like that's too close to home), and makes it her responsibility to train Hinata against her former teammate Orochimaru, giving her strength and healing along with her Hyuga clan abilities. Since Kiba is skilled at taijutsu, it'd be cool if Shino had a bug-like genjutsu along with being skilled at ninjutsu (maybe it's just me being a genjutsu stan).
Kiba interacts with other jinchuriki. In the manga, Naruto only gets to interact with Gaara and Killer Bee since the other jinchuriki are dead, but it'd be cool if at least some of them were alive--or at least allow Kiba to interact with them before their death.

so I kinda wanna write my own Rio x karma fanfiction but I want to know I'd theres still anyone in this fandom who ships them and would read it.
Summary: They complement each other. One with the need to command and the other with no will to make his own decisions. It worked perfectly.

From the very beginning, since the moment they first saw each other, it had always been like this. Akashi led the way, and Atsushi blindly followed. They complement each other. One with the need to command and the other with no will to make his own decisions. It worked perfectly.
Until it didn't.
The day he challenged the shorter male was the day their relationship changed drastically. It was the day Akashi realised he had someone with the same potential as him. Someone who could go up against him and...win.

And while Akashi's alter ego hated the purple haired boy, Akashi himself was glad to know he was not alone, was glad to know that someone could face him and be up to par with his strength.
The hatred he felt flowing through his veins whenever he saw the centre playing burned so strongly it was almost unbearable. It burned hot like the strongest spice and it made him want to claw the feeling out of his skin.
Contrasting deeply with the feeling he got from watching the purple haired teen doing mundane things — the taller male slowly losing the fight against sleep, trying to keep his violet eyes open during class brought out a warmth similar to what Akashi hadn't felt in a long time. Something that felt like soft blankets, and tasted warm like cinnamon.
Truthfully, these contrasting emotions made the red-haired boy incredibly confused. In fact, Murasakibara himself left Akashi scrambling for answers here and there. The way the other acted was...strange.
For someone who was just as strong as Akashi himself, Atsushi acted like a harmless kitten — that is when people didn't mess with his food, when that happened "harmless" was not a word that could be associated with the giant teen — he was soft, and sweet and compliant. And Akashi was left flustered by the thought of acting like this.
His pride would never allow him to simply not question things, would never allow following orders instead of giving them. The ugly side of him whispered that this was a weakness, something he could use to defeat Atsushi. And Akashi believed it — believed himself superior to the centre until the day the purple haired boy showed him otherwise.
At lunchtime, after watching Murasakibara eat whatever vegetables Kuroko and Midorima forced him to with only a slight frown, the captain couldn't help but to gather the courage to ask the question that had been bubbling inside of him for awhile now.
So as they walked to the gym, a little ahead of the others, the smaller male cleared his throat and asked. "Atsushi..." he began, calling the other's first name like he had done many times before.
"Hm...?" the long haired male turned his head to look at him, blinking his violet eyes slowly probably trying to blink away the hazy, dreamy look he always had in them after he ate. The conflicting feelings stirred up again, hatred and fondness mingling into something, bubbling uncomfortably at the bottom of Akashi's stomach.
Taking a deep breath, the red-haired boy asked. "Why do you always do what people tell you to do?" The question sounded incredibly stupid and childish once he uttered the words, but he had to know. Had to understand why someone as strong as him wouldn't act like it.
"Eh?" the other lazily exclaimed, tilting his head down at Akashi — the little act made him want to punch the other and simultaneously squish his cheeks, how could someone be like this?! "Hm, I guess it's because it's easier that way, Aka-chin..." Murasakibara mumbled, a thin hand coming up to brush his long hair back.
That answer just made Akashi even more confused. Because it was easier? What?! "Explain." His golden eye sparkled as he requested an explanation.
With a heavy sigh, the purple-haired male came to a stop. "If I say 'no' people will try to argue..." he began, and as he spoke slowly, Akashi paid special attention to how his violet eyes darkened. "And they'll keep trying and trying, it's annoying." the taller teen pouted.
"And your point is....?" Akashi asked, eager to know the answer and tired of roundabouts.
Murasakibara whined, he didn't see a point in this. Why did Akashi suddenly want to know all about him? "Look at me, Aka-chin. People can't make me do things I don't want to." he explained, standing up straight — obviously emphasising his height. "And until they figure that out, they annoy me to no end. So it's easier to just do it, it's easier to just let them think they can make me do things." he stated, and seemly pleased with his answer, the purple haired male begun to walk to the gym without waiting for Akashi's reaction.
The answer, however, made Akashi take a step back. Atsushi's words, spoken so softly, echoed harshly inside the emperor's mind. It's easier to just let them think they can make me do things...
It wasn't a weakness. Good lord, how could he had been so foolish?! The giant's mellow personality, the laziness, the acting like a toddler was never a weakness he could exploit. It was the other's biggest strength.
Murasakibara was never being controlled, he was never following commands like a little pawn. Instead he was allowing people to think they controlled him, allowing people to think he was weak-willed and that he would do whatever they wanted him to, simply because he could — because he knew within himself that no one there truly had the power to make him do whatever it was against his will if he ever decided to say no.
And because the giant had no patience to deal with people, he created this mask. And Akashi, like everyone else, had fallen for it. He had believed he could control Atsushi, when in reality Atsushi had control over them all.
A soft chuckle escaped his lips. He was going crazy — those conflicting feelings came back at full force, the scalding burn of the hatred he felt flooding his veins being soothed right after by the gentle warm of his fondness for the giant teen. And the weirdest thing is that all it did was make Akashi want Atsushi even more. He was addicted to feeling that way.
It was strange, their relationship. While Murasakibara was oblivious to how he affected the red-haired male, Akashi was too aware of everything — and while part of him hated feeling this weak, this vulnerable. A bigger part of him loved it.
He could only describe his obsession with the purple haired centre by comparing it with the feeling he got after eating something extremely spicy, that left a deliciously sweet after taste.
And so, how could he be expected not to want more?
