PAYING FOR ICE CREAM IN CALORIES? 

Last week, Amsterdam start-up Koupe opened a pop-up bar where people could try various flavours of low-calorie ice cream. The only catch, you had to pay with exercise! 

It’s easy to tell people that your product is healthy and to claim this with figures, but Koupe’s pop-up required customers to burn off the same number of calories as a serve of ice cream. Given that the product contains half the calories of normal ice-cream this didn’t take long - giving customers a tangible comparison with how much exercise is required per serving.
