Recuerdo muy bien cuando comencé esta serie, justo acababa de ver en la tele una película llamada “Los condenados (The Condemned)” y pensé que sería una trama igual o muy similar, pero …

In the show, Sousuke was considered generally handsome amongst the characters. Kyojin mentioning it once, that girl asking him out in Fumoffu, and those girls gawking at his bod when he lost that bet with the clubs (Even though he doesn't really have bishounen traits?) but was he really supposed to be seen as physically attractive? Was that the artist/Gatoh's intention? And do you think Kaname saw him as physically appealing, as she doesn't really mention it outwardly.

It’s absolutely intentional! And he actually does have ‘bishounen’ traits in that he has a young looking face and he’s very slim in spite of his muscles. It’s his severe expression, the scar, and how toned he is that sort of take away from the normal “pretty boy” look.There’s an entire side story called “Kagemusha no Showbiz” where there’s a boy that looks exactly like Sousuke, minus the scar, and he’s not in the same kind of shape as Sousuke. This guy is named Kousuke, and he’s a very attractive actor who is “popular with girls as young as 13 and as old as in their 40s” (if I remember the quote right). The girls at the school are all looking at him in magazines, but they don’t quite place that he looks exactly like Sousuke because of how different their expressions are.Then Kousuke sees Sousuke on the street and begs him to switch places so he can experience a single day as a normal student (ahahahahahahah poor bastard). Sousuke goes to act in Kousuke’s first action movie on the first day of shooting, and Kousuke gets blown up, beaten up, threatened, humiliated for not knowing English (Sousuke is of course perfectly fluent), and turned down in his romantic advances to Kaname.Most of the bad things that happened to him were Kaname. Blown up was ‘cause he took the direct route to the water fountain, which Sousuke naturally rigged so you have to take a special route to get at it safely, and all the students just know and roll with it.And as for that last part!! Yes, Kaname absolutely is attracted to his physical appearance, even right in the beginning! She kept being interested in him so much so that she talked non-stop. Considering how very strange he was and that being all she knew about him, there definitely had to be a pretty major physical attraction there for her to not be immediately turned off by him!Bonus pics of Kousuke:

I was going to draw this little shit 4 months ago, but I didn't for some reason... Kira Kousuke was honestly the most interesting character in the whole show by far.

This was a test in many ways. It's my best attempt ever to lineart, I found some hella cool brush settings, and I tested various layer modes. no one gives a shit bout that tho
