🦌 the big buck wants to try new antlers (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
I'll probably draw more! (ㆁωㆁ)
BTW : here some 🦌 curiosity to learn! ╰( ・ ᗜ ・ )➝
For those who don't understand what's happening in the SECOND drawing with Alastor's antlers (bottom set, first Alastor), it's a natural process for most deer. When their antlers are growing, they're covered in a thin layer of velvet, which is rich in blood vessels that allow the antlers to grow. Once this is done, the thin velvet layer falls off, which can be impressive or even frightening if you haven't experienced it before, as there's sometimes a lot of blood during the process because it comes from the previous blood vessels. But rest assured, there's no pain for the deer, just some itching, which sometimes leads them to rub their antlers against trees! 🦌
