Alpha Rumi is in a secret relationship with Beta Jinu, he doesn't want anyone to know so Rumi respects his wish.
Then her grandpa Gwi-ma started demanding she date some nepo jerk that she absolutely despises, she, in her panic told him she has a partner that she loves with all her heart.
And her grandpa is like "Oh! Perfect let's meet them, we need to know they are deserving of our little tiger"
Because Gwi-ma can sometimes be reasonable, when it is about his only grandpup. If she already has someone she wants then they would judge the relationship.
Jinu still refuses complaining that Rumi is the one trying to push him around and she should find someone else because he is not going and if she forces him he would break up with her. Rumi is heartbroken and in more panic.
Then one day, she hears a commotion in one of the halls outside her classroom, Hong Mira is beating the shit of some Alpha, the boy surrender and Mira lets him go but the moment she turns, the boy picking a trashcan tries to hit her by the back, tries, because Rumi drops him with a flying kick.Of course that's the moment a teacher comes.
With the amount of witnesses and because Rumira's family are richest than the boy, they get away with a light scolding.
Mira thanks Rumi, who curiously asks what she was hitting him in the first place.
"I went on a date with him, just once, because my parents forced me to, they are on my ass about searching for a *proper Alpha mate* ugh I already have a girlfriend, damnit!"
Rumi is ruminating and a plan is formed.
She asks, practically begs Mira to pretend to be her girlfriend so her grandpa doesn't kill her for lying and Mira has a proper Alpha mate to show her parents and stop the dates.
Mira thinks about it and accepts.
In one week they get to know each other, then day when they met each other family arrives and they play their part perfectly.
"You got a fierce one, tiger, sharp eyes and sharp mind" Gwi-ma says patting his granddaughter back with strength enough to throw someone else to the ground.
"Welcome to the family Mira, sorry that this one kept you hidden, she is like her unsociable father"
"Dad! Celine is here!"
"Did I say I care?"
"An alpha with manners and good head in her shoulders, someone that can easily keep with you and keep you out of trouble" Hwa-young, Mira mothers declares her approval with a elegant nod.
"The Ryu are an outstanding family, something that shows clearly in your behavior, I expect great news from you" The older woman said as Rumi kisses her hand, a pleased smile on her face.
So everything is going smoothly! They are just gonna keep the charade for a few months until they graduate, end the relationship and say that it was because they had different goals and wishes.
Mira becomes a good friend, they play the role of affectionate couple, Rumi walks Mira to her classroom and Mira brings lunch and a protein milkshake to Rumi's training.
Perfect!
Then Jinu starts fighting with Rumi, complaining about their reduced time together and how Rumi is betraying him. The few times they are together they fight, so Rumi appreciates when she is assigned to be the tutor from a student who skip some years and is ready to graduate with her generation.
Zoey Choi, is like sunshine incarnated and fresh breath of air for Rumi.
Everything goes well with the tutoring, so well that Zoey asks Rumi to come with her to a bar, Rumi stressed about fighting with Jinu goes.
And drinks way too much.
And wakes up in a bed naked and dirty with Zoey.
She dresses up and goes back to her dorm, panicking about someone seeing them and ruining the image of the perfect couple she has with Mira and she panics more about Jinu finding out she cheated on him, she debates about telling Jinu but before she can decide Jinu breaks up with her saying he needs to concentrate his studies.
The next time she meets Zoey, they both apologize and continue like always.
They become good friends.
Rumi has a new goal, be the valedictorian, get a job with her own merits and ask Jinu to restart their relationship.
That's her plan.
Then she starts getting boners around Zoey, sometimes Zoey could be doing something innocent and Rumi's mind starts making scenes that she shouldn't be thinking about, is like her body is going to puberty for a third time.
Zoey ends noticing Rumi restless behavior and offers to help with her tense body.
Rumi should say no.
She say yes and end being in a FWB relationship with Zoey.
Everything is ok, she is cautious and discreet (Without counting that time they fucked in the library or that time Zoey gave her a BJ under the benches or that other time she eat Zoey in one of the classroom), nobody knows and everything is fine.
They graduate and rumira are preparing the stage of their break-up.
Then Zoey calls rumi and demands they meet in one far away coffee shop. Rumi is worried about Zoey distressed voiced so she accepts.
The day of the meeting, she understands why Zoey called her.
I know what the writers have said in interviews, but I will maintain that the story they ended up telling is that Rumi only became more of a demon as she fell deeper into her shame and that, at the end of the movie, after revealing her shame and allowing Zoey and Mira to connect with her after showing her flaws, Rumi is at her most human.
What’s Celine’s reaction to seeing how Rumi is now. How do Mira and Zoey react to seeing someone that they think suppressed their mates demonic/werewolf side. Will Mi-young and Kim have to get involved.
Do Hon-mon and Gwi-ma learn about the Hongs plan to attack Celine. Can only imagine that, they don’t take it well.
When Gwi-ma and Hon-mon discover what the Hong are planing they fucking DESTROY them, like erase their whole bloodline,the Hong numbers are low, the were powerful because they have a lot of succesful business and a lot of blackmail/favors.
Thats how the family reunion come to be.
Celine, who is free of her seal and mated to Miyeong/Kim, come running to Rumi with Hoon-moon helping her.
Gwi-ma, after finding out about Mira, immediately goes to deal with her and save his great granddaughter, cursing himself for not thinking about how Rumi could also be a target.
By the time this happens Rumi already accepted her new life and is mated to ZoeMira.
Huntrix fights Gwi-ma, who thinks Rumi is under Mira's allure. Then sunlight and Hon-mon comes and the fight stops.

Let's talk a little about their (Beta) back story:
Mira (MTF Omega) is a born vampire from a long standing clan, she doesn't like her family, they prefer to keep things the old way even if they are involved in human society. They didn't take Mira transition well, even as omega there were expectations and rules to follow but she defied everything and was thrown out from the clan.
As one true/blood vampire she can go long periods without blood and can drink from any creature but for convenience drink more from humans. She doesn't lose her mind if she smells blood, she has a strong allure (that comes with the cost of being blind as bat) and she particularly has a strong resistance to the sunlight.
Her favorite method of hunting is acting as black out drunk walk on the alley and see who shows, 8 of ten she gets unsavory types the other ones she lets them go, using her allure to make them forget about her. She also works with abused children, supernatural or not (I have no idea what job) what gives more to choose from.
Because of her job, she knows there are children whose human parents despise/are scared of the inheritance from their supernatural parent, so they punish them or force them to hide it.
Zoey (Omega) is a werewolf mix born from an arranged mating to help with international relationships between two clans, she was only born to affirm the deal, her parents have children in their respective nations.
She was raised by her dad in the USA and has vacations with her mother in Korea if she had presented as an Alpha she would have had to stay under her father's clan.
By USA standards she is too small and weak.
By Korean standards she is too big and erratic.
That means she is faster than the USA werewolves and stronger than the Korean, also she has extraordinary control of her bloodlust and instinct, which gives the advantage against other werewolves.
She is the runt of her siblings and both packs, her father ignores after her presentation, in the USA there is a lot discrimination against Omegas in general, Korea tends to vary from creature.She learned to keep her scent low and manipulate the views/expectations of the others, making them underestimate her.
I have no idea what job she would have, she can work with animals because they are scared of her, independent songwriter, maybe private investigator for her way of hunting??
She enjoys the chase and a good mystery, so she picks any news of unresolved murder/homicide/rape, use her great sense of smell and smarts to find the culprit and deliver her own form of justice, she has a LOT of connection/favors because of this.
Zoey met Mira in one night of hunting, Zoey defended her from a trio of werewolves, both felt the energy running between them and were smitten at first glance (Mira) and smell (Zoey) but they took things slow at first then immediately speedrun to mating.
Taking the opportunity of Zoey packs being in disarray after her father unsanctioned mating they ran away and started living together.
Now for human meat Mira is the primary hunter while for animals it is Zoey, Mira also is the one that enjoys cooking most.
When they move together they meet Rumi and feel the same pull but were cautious because demons are dangerous, the top of supernatural creatures with few counters/predators, they have fame of tricksters and unending appetites for flesh and spiritual energy. They wanted to read the terrain first but ended up falling like the useless bi disaster they were. By the way Rumi talks about her childhood and Eomma, they concluded that Celine knowingly suppressed Rumi demon/werewolf traits.
So, they planned to help Rumi to let herself be slowly, discretely doing things that will attract her demon/wolf side out of the cage, like the play fights, the meals made of human meal and typical demon spices/vegetables, etc. While doing that, they would seduce her Alpha out, showing their necks, letting her dominate them, taking her clothes and leaving their own, asking her for help, thanking her for taking care of them, letting her in their nest, etc..
Then when she became more comfortable with them, they will invite her during their heat and glomp like a parasite to her side.
Until Rumi's body finally adapted well enough to go through a proper Rut, where they will convince her (use Mira full allure and their combined scent) of letting them stay.
That is the step where they debated what to do next (marking her, letting her mark them, taking medicine to force a synced heat,etc) they couldn't decide as they feel it would be too overwhelming for her.
But then attack plus Zoey heat influence Speedrun their plans.
It was supposed to be a slow, calm and discreet process.

Now when Rumi wakes up, most of her demonic traits will be gone.
Leaving just her patterns, eyes and better senses. Her clothes cover the patterns on her hands and legs.
She will be disoriented and extremely hungry, so Zoey has to guide her to the kitchen where Mira prepared a feast.
Zoey proposed to keep the mirrors down/covered and everything will be peaceful.
Then Zoemira will go to another room to discuss what to do next. Focused on their talk they don't hear the door ring, Rumi wanting to help even if she feels like shit, would go towards the door.
Where a mailman is waiting to deliver a package, just to be received by a demon that has not eaten a sole soul in years. She picks him easily and her body changes again,the man tries to escape but Rumi throws him inside before drying him, she is is seeing her actions without being capable of stopping.
ZoeMira runs after hearing something break, Mira goes outside ready to use her allure in any witness while Zoey tries ground Rumi.
Rumi moves away from Zoey and picking a piece of broken glass tries to stab herself, Zoey stops her.
"LET ME GO! I'M A MONSTER!"
"Is ok! Is ok!"
Rumi don't listen, still trying to kill herself.
"Alpha, mate, stop please!"
And Rumi stop without thinking, her panicking eyes staring at her clawed hands covered in patterns, fur and scale.
Whimpers come from her mouth.
"I'm a demon"
Then Zoe will take a long breath sadly smiling at her before letting her body change.
"And I'm a werewolf"
The youngest will say, showing her sharp fangs and holding Rumi's clawed hand with her own.
My Rumi and Mira dolls came in the mail 💌✨ Rumi's patterns are also quite pretty. They have a hard time standing on their own though, so I might need some stands.
Poor Rumi waking up to her and her friend naked in bed together and to find out her body drastically changed overnight. If she crashes out that seems reasonable.
After Celine fines out about the supernatural world is she starting to realize that her crazy ass stalkers might also be her baby mamas.
Oh she is going to crash the hell out, babygirl will be screaming her lungs out. Zoey will try to calm her down but her words fall in deaf ears, her scent is too overwhelming for Rumi's improved senses and the only thing she can do is keep Rumi from hurting herself.
Mira will come running to the room, try to help but fail too. In the end they had to put rumi in a choke hold and knock her out.
It doesn't get better soon.
More because like Mira mentioned before, human morality is not the same for them, ZoeMira aren't that bad in comparison with other creatures or Mira's family but still they still manage other standards about killing/eating Humans.
Celine is putting two and two together, going through the world half doing her job with Bobby half investigating all she can about the supernatural creatures, from legit sources like shamans and priests, to more sketchy ones like street fortune readers.
She doesn't know what to do with her stalkers/old night stands/highly probable Rumi's mothers, part of her want to jump of happiness for some weird reason and the other want to beat the shit out of them something more reasonable in her opinion.
She may have to actually talk to them, at least to know what she needs to help Rumi.
