anyways I really don't have too much of the Garcias' KPop Demon Hunter verse planned out (I still need to watch the fucking movie, which i will tomorrow lmao), but this is what I got so far
it's a whole family affair. the siblings are half demons, and Gabe is a demon who fell in love with a human (Lydia), who died , as is canon, so now he's just trying to keep his kids alive (that's all he's trying to do. keep the kids alive.). Since he's the only one whose fully demon, he still feeds souls to Gwi Ma - there's kind of an unspoken agreement that as long as he keeps doing his due diligence, his children will be spared. So far it's worked, but the longer he's on earth, the longer his conscious eats away at him.
Angelo unfortunately become a by product of that conscious eating away at him, and is now trapped in the demon world being held as a hostage until Gabe can get more souls to Gwi Ma's liking. Gabe's not happy about it, Angelo isn't happy about it- no one's happy about it. Trevor is unaware - for all they know, their big brother is out there scouting out more avenues for them to tour on.
Veronika works in tandem with Gabe as a co manager of Trevor - she does know the whole gist about her father and Angelo's being held hostage, so she and Gabe plan on uh...more tours for Trevor to go on so they can harvest more souls. Trevor is completely in the dark about this, and honestly, they all feel bad about keeping them in the dark, but sometimes there's a lesser of two evils.
and then you got this ray of sunshine who just thinks they're accomplishing their goal of being a cool country star! nothing traumatic at all hahahaha!
