New Old Spice Ad Lets You Control (One Arm of) a Mechanical Octopus on Twitch | John DeLuca

Why It’s Great:  Old Spice is always exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of advertising. In this case, to launch their new Krakengärd line of products, they apparently constructed a mechanical octopus that people could control via the popular streaming service Twitch. Viewers could even temporarily assume control of one of the robot’s arms and attempt to cooperate with (or sabotage) other viewers’ arms as the robot attempted to do things like make pizza, play musical instruments and other Old Spicey stuff. It’s pretty wild.

All I’m saying is that the men’s deodorant/personal care section is SIGNIFICANTLY more awesome (and awesomely ridiculous) than the women’s.  Side note: I totally bought Krakengärd for my sweetie, ‘cause you never know when you might need to gärd against a kraken.
