We’ve added some new work to our website — including the Vancouver General Hospital Simulation Centre! This state-of-the-art facility provides a realistic learning environment where learners can practice, study and develop skills to advance patient care. Their new space reflects the VGH Simulation Centre’s mission to provide an enhanced learning experience that is ahead of the curve. We are so glad to have been a part of this exciting project! 💛

Meet Associate, Julie Verville, who helps helm the ship at KRA and provides leadership to all members of our team. At the office, and outside of work, Julie exemplifies hard work and dedication — you can often find her braving the elements on a back-country ski trip or a long-distance bike trip. Last week, Sylvie and Natalie, from KRA, were invited to participate in Creative Conversations — FUTURE STATE at Contemporary Office Interiors. The event is an opportunity for a group of our city’s most innovative and accomplished minds in Architecture and Design to get together to generate theories, insights and predictions about the future with the outcome being a time capsule of thoughts and speculations. The KRA team submitted two shortlisted designs for the City of Vancouver Bike Rack Design Contest! KRA’s newest team member, Luxmy, just had her graduation project featured in an exhibit at AIBC. The goal of the project was to develop a master plan for the Southwest False Creek Flats with each student designing a project that aligned with larger objectives for the site. Luxmy’s project, titled “The Bazaar”, intends to act as an outlet to celebrate a multicultural community through an eclectic marketplace and the False Creek Flats Neighbourhood House working symbiotically to create a space that supports community events, inclusivity, and cultural and local pride. #bcit #aibc #krarchitecture (at Vancouver, British Columbia)
