Albanian Alps more then 100 years ago. Pictures taken by baron Franz Nopcsa, a Hungarian-born aristocrat, adventurer and a committed albanologist and albanophile. The pictures were taken circa 1900. These three panoramic photographs depict (1) Shala Valley, that is one of the northernmost valleys in Albania, (2) Alps of Krasnica near Bravniku cave, near Curraj, northern Albania, (3) Qafa e Gomares, that is in the northern Albania as well (apparently there is another with the same name in the south). Taken from: Nopcsa, F. B. (1910). Aus Sala und Klementi: D. A. Kajon.
