The sky is painted orange as you speed through the desert looking left and right in hopes of finding what you've been looking for all afternoon. Nick had sent Chris, Matt, and you on a mission to each find a different baby animal that Aviva hadn't made a creature power disk for and mark the area where it was found.
You sigh, finally stopping and taking off your helmet as you step off the hover cycle. “How am I even supposed to find ocelot kittens in the desert?” you mutter to yourself as you look around. “Why did I have to pick such a difficult animal to look for on my own” you sigh again before you see a cloud of dust begin to pick up before stopping and realizing it was a road runner now looking at a certain spot.
“Hey little guy! What are you looking at.” you crouch down to his level, smiling, turning to look in the direction where his eyes were focused. “Baby ocelots! You found them.” You gasp as you step closer to the three baby ocelots stepping out the den watching as two of them jump on each other bumping into the third kitten. “How could we ever forget about you! You're all so cute.” You scratch his head as he walks up to you. “This is easy, your nick” you continue scratching his head before looking at the two who are still play fighting. “And you two are Chris and Matt” you giggle as your creature pod begins to beep and vibrate.
“Hey guys! Look who I found.” you grin showing the three kittens on the screen causing Matt, Chris, and Aviva to aww. “Baby ocelots!” Matt coos at the screen. “Alright! What's your wow fact?” Chris asks. “Well, mother ocelots leave their kittens in the den. They know to stay there but sometimes they like to go off and explore on their own, like these three causing triple the trouble.” You smile as the three kittens’ attention turns to the road runner still standing by. “Their front paws are also larger than their back paws! Making it easier to identify their tracks. It also looks like these three like to chase birds but don't like birds chasing them.” you laugh as the road runner flaps it swings and walks forward causing the kittens to run back to the den. “Thats right cuties-back to where momma left you.” you smile fondly at the animals.
“Alright, we're all headed back to the tortuga with the coordinates and our wow facts- ill see yall there.” Chris is first to leave the call followed by Avia- leaving just you and Matt.
“Bring one back for me.” Matt grins into the camera. making you laugh. “I'm sure their mom wouldn't like that very much-I named them Matt, Nick, and Chris though so I don't think they'd like to be apart. That one's Matt.” You point to the kitten now sleeping making Matt's smile grow wider.” Alright I’ll see you at the tortuga, be careful on that thing it's getting dark. Last time you almost took out Nick from how fast you were going.” Matt says as you get back on the hover cycle. “yeah, yeah, see you in a bit.” The call ends and you say one last goodbye to the baby ocelots before zooming away back towards the tortuga.
