something something ego renegade boy starts off mostly hopeful then takes a noticeable depressing turn in the second verse/chorus but then goes back to hopeful for the final chorus. this has other reasons but is furthered by the order of the execution methods:
lethal injection = testostorone guillotine = haircut electric chair = shock conversion therapy
cooked in a cauldron = traditional execution method for murders committed via poison (the poison being t) drawn and quartered = surgery firing squad = traditionally done at dawn, so like right as the light began to metaphorically shine (hope/joy that comes with transition) he got "shot down" if you will (shooters are also told to aim at the heart so like he got shot in the heart and stuff. symbolism)
the first (+ also last) set focuses more on transition aka the fun part, but the second one is mostly focused on len being persecuted for being trans.
