How tall do you think the Krew members are?
I think Mako’s like 6 feet 2 inches and I think this because if I said anything else, godsmash would skin me alive
so Korra is probably around 5’6”/7”
Asami is 5’10”

Just because Bolin and Korra seem around the same height, Asami is tall but usually wears heels so?? hard to say what her actual height is because usually she seems only a few inches shorter than Mako.

No like literally none of them.
Korra would never update because she is too busy but when she does it’s mostly after she’s been working out so she just posts food and gifs of impressive athletic feats, along with a looooooooot of shirtless guys. Once someone tries to get on her case about sj stuff and she types an all capslock response to them and they never respond back.
Bolin is a popular tumblr blog because he is a cute boy that is funny and posts selfies all the time, he will post ugly funny ones and jump in on memes. He posts about being an athlete and his fans go nuts about it because he is so accessible and just literally will put a n y t h i n g on the internet.
Mako got a tumblr and Bolin links to it on his so he has a lot of followers for someone who LITERALLY NEVER POSTS and if he does, it’s all text posts directed at Bolin, because he doesn’t know how ask boxes work. If you’re lucky, Bolin will get him to take pictures of food he makes, and his description will be like “leftovers I found in the fridge with hot sauce."
Asami is a popular fashion blog, she posts selfies of her outfits and her cars, and will reblog anything as long as it is girly and cute. Lots of cats. She gets some fandom blogs because she likes sailor moon and will blindly reblog anything that appeals to her aesthetic, which gets her in trouble a few times with people in her askbox screaming “THIS IS PROBLEMATIC!!!!!" and she’s like “oh no what’s wrong with it :C?"
Like are any of them into sj really? They fight for what is right because it is Korra’s responsibility and they get tied into that, literally none of them would be bothering if they hadn’t met her.

Korra has no experience because she was locked up in a compound for so long, and until we get more canon confirmation about the life she led there, I’m going to stick with that.
Mako and Bolin have the most experience because they grew up unsupervised and among gangsters. Like, c’mon, prostitution is a regular gang-controlled market. They’ve known what sex is for the longest amount of time, and if they find someone they want to pursue, why wouldn’t they go for it? Meeting people in clubs and having sex is a relatively cheap activity that releases stress, it’s pretty much win-win for them.

Asami has probably had sex because she has lived the most normal life, and had the chance to properly date someone. Based on her interactions with Mako while they were dating, it looks like physical contact is very important to her.

So, for Korra, I think she would like a weapon that’s versatile because we already know that she’s good at learning multiple disciplines of fighting and adapting them to suit her needs. For Book 1, Tenzin would set her up with a Monk’s Spade. Overall though, she would favor something like a spear just because she could use it close range, long range, something to lift herself with, etc. Here are some types of spears: qiang and harpoons. And here is a list of inuit weapons that I think Korra would favor, because she would obviously have a variety of weapons lol like a small club, bolas, etc.
Mako is all about being quick, fast, and efficient, so I’m going daggers with him. And because the Fire Nation has a spattering of Indian influence, he has katars - I’m pretty sure there’s a variety that splits into 3 blades if you grip the handle? Which would do more damage when necessary. Also a pair of these brass knuckles crossbred with tiger claws called bagh nakh which as badass are shit.
Bolin would have a straight up classic pair of brass knuckles, no spikes needed, but if he did have them, they’d be rounder and dulled so as to not actually stab people - probably just enough to break skin. Other than that, he’d have clubs lol, like this ararebo club, Japanese clubs seem to be called kanabo? They’re iron so this fits for the earthbending theme lol. But because I found this I have to say it, Bolin would have a Gada omfg he would lug it around over his shoulder and walk with a swagger it would be adorable.

I think that the A:tLAverse relies heavily on fate and destiny, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships. So, yes!! I think that no matter what, the krew would’ve met up in anyway possible.
Lol like how great would it have been if the triads Korra ran into were Mako and Bolin??
I feel like if that happened, probending would just be out of LoK entirely, and the show would’ve focused more on the inner workings of the city. Imagine if the first episode had Korra initially fighting Mako and Bolin in the street after another guy they were with tried to extort money from a shopkeeper - Korra fights them, long fight scene, she ends up arrested. That could’ve set up Korra working more alongside law enforcement in the city, trying to understand the poverty issues within the city, working with Lin (lady mentor!!).
Then, episode two could be Korra trying to play vigilante all over the city, striking a deal with Lin that if Lin can show her the ropes, she’ll work within the law to help out the police force. And, Tenzin wouldn’t know, etc etc.
Then episode 3, Korra is out on patrol, and Mako stumbles towards the cruiser she’s in asking everybody in the street if they’ve seen, “An earthbender? 16 years old, around 5 feet, 8 inches, green eyes, black hair with a stupid curl, button nose? He should be with a ferret?”
Korra offers her services, even though she knows he’s a criminal because Lin is teaching her that morality isn’t black and white, and he initially declines because wooooah he doesn’t want to tangle with the cops. But she convinces him, boom, ep 3 happens roughly the same with Korra and Mako searching for Bolin after he gets kidnapped.

lbr Korra would be killed the second she was found, there would be no saving her because of the watch on private homes - then again, I guess that really depends on whether or not this AU takes place in the 1984 era or in the 1920s LoK era.
So for the fuck of it let’s put it in LoK era because there’s more of a chance that Korra would live (longer, at least), and there’s less chance of monitoring everyone’s behavior 24/7.
Amon only has control over Republic City, has only for maybe a decade - getting into power roughly around the time Mako and Bolin’s parents died, just so the main krew doesn’t really remember the time before him, just vague memories.
Korra’s motivations for leaving the SWT (which is under no rule? I mean in 1984 all the countries have the same government b u t) could be that Amon sent spies to work on the compound, and they could’ve had a hand in raising her - government classes, hyping up Republic City as the place for her to go. Brainwashing her enough so that there’s a chance Amon can use her as a tool to secure his rule (bc it’s so young that there are uprisings) but also enough that he can kill her if his efforts turn to shit.
Mako, in general, decides he can’t complain about Amon because the new government provides him with a job and a house. Bolin is attending school. He decides to keep his head down and do his work even though everyday he sees the horrors of the new government, he feels this constantly simmering anger daily but he shoves it away just to make sure himself and Bolin stay alive. However, all he needs is a push to set him off.
Bolin doesn’t remember much of the way things used to be for Amon, but he’s still so accustomed to Mako’s care that he is still loud, vocal, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time - he’s a liability in public. At home, he’s much more free to talk as he wants, hum the old songs he used to remember their parents singing, he talks about the spirits which is another no-no. I guess the ep 3 equivalent would be Bolin gets arrested for speaking out of turn in public (ROOM 101 FOR BOLIN SOBS).
Meanwhile, Hiroshi is a known supporter of Amon, so Asami’s life is very comfy in comparison to Mako and Bolin’s. However, I feel like due to the fact that Hiroshi would be open about his politics, Asami would be more political in general. Still, she would be isolated in her home, and I don’t know what her job would be in society - so, she wouldn’t have a chance to see everyone else’s lives. Maybe she goes to various factories and does quality control? Which is how she could run into the Krew again. She finds out who Korra is and realizes she’s the person Hiroshi/Amon has been talking about, this girl who holds all the potential to undermine Amon, and so she joins her.
However, Korra would probably already be on the lamb with Mako and Bolin since Bolin gets arrested and sprung from prison in the ep 3 equivalent of this AU so.
